Rolling Thunder 2 was a good port, just missing some music from the arcade version, despite adding stages to the game. Phelios lost a lot in the transition to the MD, the music sounds weak on the MD version, and of course, all the cool scaling effects are gone. Samurai Spirits on the MD was gutted beyond belief, so much sacrificed to have bigger sprites, should've gone with sprites the size of the SFC game to maintain more animation and other things in the game (SFC version maintains a lot of animation from the arcade game, even more than the US SNES game, as well as the MD port). Not a fan of Golden Axe, nor Bonanza Brothers, they are in my collection, but that is because I try to obtain as many arcade ports over multiple consoles as possible for my collection, as well as console original games. In Rolling Thunder 2's case, just look at Marvel Land, no music removed, and yet more stages added, Namco did that port properly, despite the cool visual effects being absent.
