Pretty stupid standing between the forklift and the marble block while it is being pushed into the container. A person should never put themselves between a forklift and a solid object.The driver can't see him. One miscalculation and it's light out for George.

Speaking from what I do daily sometimes you gotta do it and trust the machine and the operator with your life great bond between some operators and their swampers.

Are the basic functions of this forklift like a standard Wearhouse forklift? Leavers, clutching, breaking?

Yes it has the same basic functions plus some other features, all types of forklifts have pretty much the same basic functions, except for specialized ones for example the "Wiggins Lift Co. - Marina FLX" which is a new type of lift, check it out.

Probably around 35-40k lbs.

I think a 5'x5'x10' block of limestone or granite weighs around 42,000 lbs. (about 165-175 lbs per cubic foot from what I read) If they tape a paper label on it, it may weigh a tiny bit more :) Can hardly tell the exact size of those blocks though. Some look smaller, some larger.
