I personally despise turn based games, like Grammar Nazis despise bad grammar but X command mission is that one game I make an exception for. Shoot I even went and recorded all 10 chapters in HD upscaled graphics, and I even went again and did some more editing for the games graphics just because its the only accept RPG in my life. MMXCM is underated af.

The song by itself is nice and would definitely jam to it but associated with Mega Man X Command Mission? It just seems very off. The song is called Jounetsu Setsuna btw.

Personally I really like the beginning parts first. Those spider drones, the ship, I think far more attention to detail is taken in them than the later part, and they're pretty badass regardless.

The fact that this isn't in the X Legacy Collection is a goddamn travesty. Criminally underrated game, and one of the most unique entries into the X series. Of all the Mega Man games out there, this and ZX Advent are the ones I desperately want a sequel to. The gameplay was fun (despite how easily you can break it the moment you get Cinnamon), the graphics/art design still look great even today, and the music was always banging. One thing I'll give Nebula Joy - they at least acknowledged this game's existence and gave us some characters to play as in DiVE. Massimo, Marino, Cinnamon, Ferham, X's Command Mission skin - it was so great to see again.

The game is very good, the story is extremely corny, but the gameplay and battle system make up for it. If you can see through the story and bad voice acting, you'll stay entertained.

@supersketch008 i think command mission was a shot at a rpg style of gameplay. wether it is true or not it does not affect the story. maybe this isnt a story thing maybe it was just another mission. its not like theres games for all there missions just the key missions important to the story. there was a 10 year gap between x4 and x5 but not 10 games.

i came back to relisten to this just now, gosh darn the nostalgia. Bruh I've replayed this game so many times just to get to lvl 99. Replayed final boss everytime, was annoying, but worth level 99 😅 Almost every boss just goes down in 1 whole turn 🤣 This is my personal opinion, but X Fire armor was amazing as hell. I really like Ultimate Armor too, but damn X Fire look cool af and the claw buster was an amazing touch. Absolute Zero also was fire affff!!!

The X series was the best MM series for me.. I find the Classic's plot too bland, Legends was great but it doesn't have the MM feel to it (an action adventure), Zero was pretty ok, but the rest (ZX, Star Force, Battle Network) feels like they had nothing to do about what MM is sans the name

I love J-rock and J-pop and...nope. Not even slightly. Not even close. I just checked it out and it sounded terrible. And again, I'm not against Japanese music at all. And it's not my bias for what I grew up with because I grew up with the North American X-Men animated series intro and only found out about the Japanese intro like 2 years ago and IMMEDIATELY preferred the Japanese version over the original, by a country mile. The Japanese version of Command Mission's intro sounds like a corny anime. I love anime, and love dumb, corny animes, but that isn't what Megaman X as a series is, so it just doesn't fit. Command Mission's intro, visually, looks like being teleported to a new, grand adventure, but then it is musically undercut by what I'd expect to hear before The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. The American version sounds more mature, rightfully heavy, and, most importantly, mechanical.

Remember that Dr Light and even Zero said that as time passes, X becomes more powerful. In a sense, his armor has evolved to the point of assimilating all the Past Armors Powers and Skills.

And that's the core reason why I have lost a lot of respect in Capcom. They are willing to abandon the genre that they themselves have established and the devoted fans behind it for the genre that is only the most popular at the time. That's what happened to Shadowrun and look how that turned out.
