I mean it IS an armor upgrade that you get by beating a boss who nonchalantly curbstomped your base in the intro stage... *Before he even had the Ultimate Armor.... Who wears it as he fights you*

No? It's a big part of the game because it's collected after Strike is defeated and you -harvest it from his corpse- take it back.

You have a thing called "ULTIMATE armor" and it is the IMPROVED version of it. There's no "too powerfull".
