This stage is a goddamn nightmare. Though in the stage itself isn't too bad between the lack of [P] and lives you cannot afford to mess up at all.
And then Sanae's apparently been making up for lost time with how piss easy she was last game. Her 1st spell isn't too bad but if you're like me and try not to bomb her 2nd and 3rd will be the bane of your existence.
And then there's Koishi. Honestly she doesn't have many spells comparable to Sanae's hardest but she makes up for it in tenacity. Koishi is a master of making you feel extremely stressed and nervous throughout the entire battle.

Sure, Hecatia has some free attacks, but goddamn, most of her fight is so pixel-perfect I don't know where to begin... And I was using Reisen with her broken bomb, mind you! Although SA's Extra stage portion can go fuck itself, and Sanae is more of a pain than Doremy by a longshot.

@@huytrandang277 You'll get there eventually. After you beat your first extra boss you'll get that revelation of "I'm actually good at Touhou games!" From there it's just a matter of practice, and you'll start knocking them out one by one.

Ah yes. The original meeting between Omega and Koishi. Though they barely even know of each others existence now, this would mark the beginning of a rivalry that would span years, continuing to this very day. Fitting that this game would introduce the two most influential characters (for better or for worse) on Omega's channel together. I was half hoping Present day Koishi would pull some Suzumi bullshit and mess with a woefully unprepared Omega and Bee, but seeing these are mainly for archival purposes I understand why she didn't appear.

It's amazing how much easier you make this look by knowing the right strategies for each of her cards. At a glance, they're intimidating, but your practice and knowledge of just how to lead her shots makes such a difference. Also you possess some serious guts during her last card as you were down to your last life yet plenty of bombs to safely see your way through any sticky situations and you chose not to use them. Definitely added to the suspense that your run could end at any second then!

MarisaA not getting to full power isnt necessarily a disadvantage because 7 and 8 power deals insane amounts of damage. Koishi’s difficulty also lowers a lot more than other extras once you know how stuff works because attacks are mostly gimmick attacks that are easy to deal with

Oh I knew it was a spell card and not a time out. Like I said, "Health bar be damned, this is one of many you're just gonna have to time out". Cause you pretty much can't stay under her to deal enough damage with Marisa/Alice. You saw, I captured the spell card, but only on the last second, I was still there for the entire duration of the spell.

Any other time the bosses leave the field or become intangible. But here she still has a hurt box (you can see your bullets colliding with her) plus you can still hear the sound effect like you're dealing damage as well.

Yup, before KZbin killed the annotations they gave a small window of warning saying they'd be getting removed in a little less than a month. I took that time to figure out how, and extract the annotations into xml files so I'd be able to actually read and copy them (KZbin had gotten rid of the annotation editor much longer ago). Since then I've been remaking the annotations like I do for my modern videos, copying them over into the old videos and reuploading them. All 370 friggin' videos...
