Hi Miguel. First time I write a comment here. I hope you appreciate the effort. I follow you since the first days of LoR beta, and your daily uploads have become a end-of-the-day routine for me. Just wanted to say thanks for the continuous innovative ideas you bring on the ladder, and share some stats regarding this Ephemeral deck in particular. I reached diamond during beta and now I'm diamond again, but I was stuck in diamond 4 unable to consistently advance. This deck finally gave me the edge I was looking for, since I've time to play only 3-4 games per day, these games have to count. I'm in Diamond 1 with 0 points. In the last 5 days I played 20 games only with this deck, 15 wins -5 losses with win rate of 75%. Just unbelievable. You can't find this deck in any meta tier list, and none knows how to answer it properly. Thanks again. Keep up the great work and attitude. Keep experimenting, and have fun. One of few videos i've ever thrown a like on in over a decade of youtube viewing. 18-1 so far with this deck build and up to Plat 3 just now. I built a similar deck prior to patch. It had a 70%+ win rate in the gold ranks. The numerous tweaks in this deck really take it over the top though. The Maokai addition has been really fun as well. This is a sleeper deck for ladder climb. At least, I hope it is until i can get to Masters ; ). Keep up the great work brother. p.s. Swim had a video yesterday of a deck to climb to masters with. I just faced it a couple matches ago and destroyed it with this one. The Dark Water Scourge/Flipped Kalista combo was just too much for them round 5 or so. I dropped it at the end of their attack round, as you had in one of these showcases and just open attacked with Flipped Kalista the next round. Thanks for that enlightening moment in your video. After that they couldn't recover from what was probably a round from my death. Love both you guys though. Can't wait to see you guys match up in another tourny.

YES! Ephemerals are the shit. I've just made a similar deck focusing on ephemerals last week ago, and it is really tasty. Just little combos like "heca and the sharkbois", "relic to vilemaw" and for dessert "they who endure w/ atrocity" to sweep the match in a snap. It's not a complete deck though, cuz I be newbie, but it works really well so far.

How had I loved your Zed/Hecarim deck(well at least before it turned out hecarim was op af). I had put inspiring mentor in and got carried by that deck. Came up with a really interesting and unique take on the undying archetype and I would love for you to try it. Demacia and Bilgewater undyings were decks that I got from you, albeit I changed a few cards. I wanted more rallies. I recently tested out if I could do Undying Ionia and it turns out it can work, though I suppose part of it is catching people by surprise. I use the sparring student and greenglade duo as surprise behemoths, full set both, and then a full set of blighted caretaker, and a full set of sonic wave. One blighted caretaker into a cursed keeper brings sparring student up to a 5/5, 15 damage threat. On turn 2, you can threaten for 11 damage with sparring student(4/4), cursed keeper, and a butcher. The greenglade duo can also do the work in certain matchups, though I do prefer getting the sparring student as he's not so easily countered. With undying on the board, he gets buffed at the start of every turn. still championless btw. Though I'm thinking this could also work for ephemerals, but I don't have a full set of hecarim yet. One reason why I really wanted to make this deck is because undying decks can be really inconsistent with you needing to get your hands on a cursed keeper or undying early on. With this deck, I've got six of 1 drops, 2 drops, and 3 drops. 6 of each. I also just made it for fun. Made it to diamond and I'm now just chillin for a while in normals. This turned out to work so well though so I had to try it out in ranked and it works still. 12:48 It depends on the game. In slower card games like LoR your argument is true, but in something like Yugioh the game is generally over after 2 or 3 turns (except for heavy control decks). In Yugioh I only play 1 ofs in 3 situations: It's limited (you can only have 1), it's a searchable combo piece, or it's a garnet (aka a brick that I don't want to draw but is needed for combos). This deck is pretty sweet!

I really enjoyed your neverglade collect ephemeral deck so I’ve been using it and doing tweaks to it. Deck: CEBQCAQFAQAQCAQNAUAQKBYMC4PC6AQCAEBAGMIDAECSMKRRAMAQEBIIAMAQEAQYEUCQCBIECQKRMKY Main changes I did was finding a way to lower the curve while keeping most of the power 3 shadow fiend instead of 3 darkwater scourge (lowered to my deck to one). Using three fading memories allows the deck to duplicate low mana cards or good affects and have more options like: oblivious islanders to get a stronger early board or to significantly lower other cards mana cost. If you get multiple oblivious islanders you can play two and then one shadow fiend on round one. Fading memories can also allow you to make another soul shepard to have a single stronger attack (fading memories makes him ephemeral so he’s now 3/4 and his buff still acts as normal to any other ephemeral units). Fading memories also allows you to play more blighted caretakers to do more damage early. Three haunted relic in for defense or a quick early kalista level, if you start with relic you can save 2 spell mana to auto level kalista on turn three. Cursed keeper out for more oblivious islanders and hapless aristocrat, people refuse to help you kill cursed keeper so the only way to make this card worth something is if you get lucky and draw something to let you kill it like glimpse beyond blighted caretakers or oblivious islanders, two conditions to you can play it first the other you cannot. To guarantee any the end result is either a 5, 4, or 2 mana commitment and overall to me the trade off isn’t worth it. The inability to block makes it in more matches than not stuck at 1/1. The substitute Hapless aristocrat is more than one opportunity fodder for blighted caretaker. Oblivious islander allows for cheaper mana plays. 1 shark chariot as an early shark chariot with kalista can perma chain shark chariots constantly generating one more per tun (until a new stronger card dies) at two it was a win harder card without another side to it. Another strong kalista synergy is if you have a leveled kalista and you play a rekindler (if you haven’t played a shadow fiend or darkwater scourage) when kalista attacks she will summon a rekindler( assuming this hasn’t been patched) until a stronger unit is summoned and dies every kalista you attack with will summon another kalista. 2 phantom prankster instead of neverglade collector as their similar in stats and the extra 2 mana you can do else where helps a lot. Hapless aristocrat as blighted caretaker fodder, defense, or a card that can die for your kalista twice (but slowly). I’m not sold on which way is best between two will of ionia, two spirits refuge, or one will of ionia & one spirits refuge.

This deck is really neat. But in my plat 4 hands, i find it hard to win sometimes. Especially when im out of options. I use a different version now with They who Endure as a backup in case everything didn't went as expected. I have more success with it since if I can't close with ephemerals, Endure+Atrocity is a neat backup plan.

It is impossible to make a very good budget sea monsters deck. You just really need the 6 champions, and all of the good sea monsters are epics (except for the abyssal eye)... Anyways, i did the most budget deck you can get, with no epics and only 3 champions, where you can still play around with sea monsters and have some fun (but it won't be highly competitive): lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/brcsvgtbunq5v08lmnfg If you have some of the epics, or more nautilus/maokais or even 1 thresh, add them in Jaull hunters is great because it'll let you play around with some of the epics "for free" xD

I don't think Zed would be that great. He is easy to remove, there are not really tools to protect him. I've been playing this deck a lot and wouldn't replace a single card for Zed.
