I bought mastery pass and played exactly 4 games with "fair destroy" deck. I was thinking it will be nice to see Venom in action. G1: I get Armor'ed, G2: I get Cosomo'ed, G3: I get Aroe'd, G4: I get Leach'ed. Of course it was 3 games vs Shuri and last one vs Thanos. I deleted the deck and probably will never play Nimrod again. Not it this meta at least.

You could weave a Shuri in-between in another lane, and it's 20 power on turn 5. Not exactly the best, since it's a 3 card combo, but it's good.

I’ve been playing him with Nova, Nakia, Okoye, and Forge. I’ve gotten 9+ power Nimrods before and hitting him with Arnim Zola to get 18 power within the other 2 lanes. Combining him with Venom and Deathlock in different lanes on turn 6 does wonders too. Venom eating Nimrod and whatever cards are in that lane keeps that power in that lane and then spreads it across the board. Edit: The buffing cards+Venom+Zola provides an alternate wincon

Right now I am 35 - 5 in my climb with a MODOK deck that utilizes A LOT of unexpected tools. Including destroy mechanics with Nova, Wolverine, Carnage and Killmonger, but some fun and unexpected surprises with Morph who replaced Sword Master and Gamora. Moon Girl is a main key to supercharge Morbius, and because Wolverine meshes with destroy and discard decks and I have Swarm turns 5 and 6 get real fun after psychologically screwing them with Morph who has even given me MASSIVE TEMPO by becoming Gamora, Odin and Hulk on Turn 3. It's been a fun deck to play with. I have won even in weird scenarios that did not play to my strengths such as The Hub giving me Deadpool who got killed by an Elektra and then teamed with Nova Wolvie AND CARNAGE. It just EATS. I even grew in Iron heart for good measure, but I am coming out of majority zoo territory and I'm thinking of replacing the destroy mechanics with Sunspot, taking out Killmonger. And replacing him with something that provides seven more early game tempo.

From minute 1 on day 1 I've just been doing yondu turn 1 if I have him, then turn 2 wolverine or bucky, turn 3 electro, turn 4 nimrod, turn 5 venom, then turn 6 I can either death or taskmaster or throw down wolverine/bucky if i didnt play them with carnage

Free-to-play would be Wong into Nimrod into Destroyer. Shuri can easily be replaced by Electro while Venom and Carnage can replace Galactus and Green Goblin.

He costs too much for starters. Speaking as someone who came in late last season and got busted back down to Iron rank, I have faced a few obvious newbies thinking they can net him for higher value when they are not even out of Pool 1. I GOT BETTER VALUE OUT OF HIM because of Morph and Carnage than my Opponent did. But seriously playing baby ass 2 and 3 drops on turn 6 with a good advantage I makes it null and void. Zola works because of what he does, but he is really the only good thing. I have seen Galactus decks and while I KNOW YOU THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, I just think ramping with him and what is already out there is more effective.
