What matters most to me when I’m guest is a clean bathroom and a clean sink which means clean dry towels! So I do the same for my guests , if the windows are a tad smudged and the children scattered the toys it feels like home ❤ - from a grandma

This!!! And a chair or place to sit where, as a guest, I don't feel in the way or in someone else's spot. I always offer a warm, soft throw and have a pillow in each sitting space and then let the guests choose and my family knows to let that be the guest's happy spot until further notice. 😂 I have a comfy rocker for my dad and a wood chair for my mom that I store away in a building because that's what they like to sit in.

I have many fond memories playing in Litiz Springs Park- 2 of my unmarried Mennonite Great Aunts lived on Second street and when we stayed over night/weekends they would take us there

I like a washed out icecream hucket filled with popcorn for a car ride. 😂 And that's a flashback to Mennonite traveling in the 80's and 90's.😆 We didnt stop except to use the restrooms. Uou typically had a bed in the vehicle for littles to sleep, mom and dad might get a soda when getting gas, but the children all drank water or juice from the thermos.

I would have loved to have met you even if it was for a minute or two. I live right by all of those places in Elkhart, In. I love Amish Country. Maybe next time you can let all your people know when you are going to be here so we can meet you. I am so glad you enjoyed the area. Sometimes when you live somewhere you always seem to think it's a boring place and then someone comes along and really enjoys it. We should really be happy where we live , I suppose.
