I planted my lobelia seeds the other week and having watched 3 videos to see what to do next, yours is far the most informative. It's such a thrill seeing the process all the way through and I am a bit more confident that by following your tutorial, I will have actual plants by the end of it.

You have a collection of seed grown Lobelia. How beautiful. It is so rewarding to grow your own and as you say, "it saves a lot of money". Thank you for showing from start to finish how to grow from seeds. 🌱🌱🕊

Thanks for this tutorial. I have started lobelia from seed for the first time and wasn’t sure what to do now that they are germinated bc the seedlings are so small and compact. I get it from watching you and appreciate the close up detail of how to take a punch of the seedlings and transplant into plug trays for the first transplant. Mine are so tightly growing, I hope I don’t destroy them in transplanting but the seeds are so small they grew in a bunch of stamp sized tight bunches of seedlings. I am going to try one of them to see if I can transplant it easily. I was afraid to try for fear of just killing the whole lot. Lol. I love lobelia and paint them just like you do with fuschias. Happy spring and thanks again!

Your video did it! I had a sprout that, after the cotyledons, had the first leaf come up and I wanted to identify if it was lobelia or if it was some weed. Yep, it does look like Lobelia ... @ 2:44 Thank you!

Thanks for the great info ! Lovely to see the process & your bright and colourful flowers. I am about to do sweet peas, lobelia, morning glory and tumbling ted soapwort we moved house in Dec and inherited a large greenhouse I've never had one before and I am hooked it's crammed already I love it. Not done seeds before we usually buy plants in Spring but so far so good.🌼🌸❀✿🌷 you definitely get the bug once you see those seedlings growing up :) it's addictive I'm sure. Thanks for the great vids it's very helpful I'm learning a lot.

I bought some lobelia seeds from Sutton’s a few weeks ago and potted them up in seed soil from verve (b&q) but I can’t believe how compacted it is. Not nice and fluffy like yours! I’ve just transferred them to my polytunnel today free being under the lights but the soils like clay and sand, I’ll be surprised if the roots grow well in the stuff. Yours look smashing!

I wish I had found this video earlier! My first time growing seeds and I tried lobelia. When it came to pricking out I have done each little plant individually. They are growing well but aren’t in clumps. Would pinching them out now help them to bush out? They are approx 2-3 inches long. Thanks
