Every time I watch a video with a giant candy bar involved it makes me think of the time my dad was working at this truck stop. My dad on multiple occasions came home with large quantities of random food items from trucks breaking down and just giving it away since it's gonna spoil anyway. We were barely recovering from the massive amounts of garlic bread stuffed in our big deep freezer when he brings home like 4 giant halloween almost life-size tombstone hershey chocolate bars. Matt Stonie will always be my favorite competitive eater on KZbin. I’ve watched him since 2015, and he was THE MAN to go to when you had a craving but didn’t want to eat it in real life. I had a horrible eating disorder that took up most of my teenage years, and I remember watching Matt and getting to pretend to eat all the food through him lol. Living through him a little bit. Years later, my relationship with food is so much healthier, but I still enjoy Matt Stonie’s videos and his skill. So thank you, Matt Stonie. It’s really cool having seen him grow so much and get so much recognition. And I don’t know, it’s just really cool to have gone through my own food journey and be able to appreciate it and relate to it in a healthy way now. @@endstreeks6477 It’s hard to explain but basically good chocolate keeps its form and has clean snap off and is hard to actually bite through, you have to kind of break it apart and let it soften in your mouth to eat it. Bad-mid chocolate is easy to bite through straight away and usually falls apart when you snap a bit off. Notice how expensive chocolate doesn’t explode crumbs everywhere when you take a bite.

@@shutomasi This is actually a process called chocolate tempering and it isn't necessarily an indication of the actual quality of the chocolate itself, rather pure chocolate bars in particular are usually tempered because it makes the chocolate a lot easier to mold, handle, and package. The other major reason why "fancy" chocolate bars are heavily tempered is actually because they want to put nice graphic designs on the bars themselves to make them look more attractive. Based on the level of tempering, you can change the way the chocolate bites and melts in the mouth.
