Nope, but I got a tip, listen to stroker ace by Charlie Daniels Band before the start, it will put the 10% on top of the 100. I promise
@rayneary43715 жыл бұрын
work on your recovery time, sprint a few uphills, do some xc style laps and interval type training, lucidity is really important and easy to lose especially with the sprint start for qualifications at 2800m altitude and the short sharp technical peddling sections near the top of the main race

Can't stress enough how important recon and practice is, I did the Mountain Of Hell this year for the first time and only practiced on the Finals track (and not the Quali track which was much gnarlier and more technical), caused me to run the quali blind and crashed 3 times due to track blindness and fatigue from the whole week of bike park. Should also mention that if you take a whole week of vacations or more and do like me and ride the whole week on bike parks around, it is asolutely crucial to eat well and rest and have a proper and rich diet for the main event !!
@martinfisker74385 жыл бұрын
How do you ride a whole week of bike park? I did 4 days and my fingers are still sore now, two weeks later
@shark20755 жыл бұрын
@@martinfisker7438 Yeah mate I was sore as hell too, permaclaw after the end of each day and ultra sore/tetanized forearms, the braking holes in the the bike park's berms are horrendous, hence why a very good diet and constant hydration is key to recover fast, but that week of riding was what exhausted me a lot and made me so tired for the quali. Other than that I was already training and preparing for a few months before the event, did a lot of cardio/intervals, but not enough upper body training ahah (train upper body and grip strength you guys)
@gmbn5 жыл бұрын
@@martinfisker7438 We actually made a video a few years ago about avoiding arm pump. 👉 gmbn.eu/stoparmpump Maybe it's time for a new one as Blake really had to keep it under control for this race on the hard tail!

@@shark2075 i know the feeling of permaclaw :) i ride plenty of cardio, probably have 3000km+ this season, but i dont have any good descents near me, so i cant prepare my fingers for hell.

I am 32 and until now i biked a lot on my hardtail on pretty regular tracks just for cardio, but after some videos of real MTB i discovered a new goal for me. I will now focus on practice and start small. Is this still doable for my age group? I would love to try an event or even this Megavalanche in a few years, not to win but to come down in one piece and to say "i actually did it".

#askgmbntech Hi guys, love the channel and learned a lot from you guys. Right now I am looking to upgrade my 29 inch rochshox judy coil 2019 that came on my roscoe 7. It has somme play in the bushings and I am riding it hard. So I was looking for the new rockshoxs 35 debonair, but in the 27.5 wheel size because I can pick a longer travel since the axle to crown is almost an inch shorter at tge same travel. But the 35 in 140mm travel is way more expensive than the 130mm. So I was wondering if I could just upgrade the debonairspring to a 140mm. But are there anny things that I should considder like damper lenth or stanchion lengt?? Thanks in advance! Pieter
