Saw you play this opening your Barefoot Truth Show, Will. What are the chances of you guys getting back together, such wonderful music.

oh yeah, it makes sense. I said it because i listen to BFT for a long while now and I know John Butler Trio was one of their early influences, and i believe John realized that situation and then removed the string, and so did Will. I use open tunings, but I don't play 12 strings, so I never really thought about that, it always seemed only a personal choice

possibly. My understanding is that when playing with a 12-string in open C tuning the g string would become the highest pitched note instead of the e string so it is often removed - or something along those lines.

He's touring with his own band now. Just came up to NYC and Cornell

yeah, the other option is to tune the g string to the same octave. after I saw your post I was checking to see if I could find why JBT does it and it's a personal preference for him - he feels that he gets a better mid sound without the g

Only one g string, maybe influenced by John Butler? Always loved that tune, even more now seeing you play it Will :)

Why is the sound and video out of sync? Video is about half a beat ahead of the audio!
