Since I grew up with Power Rangers, and had never heard of Voltron prior to Death Battles (with all the references), I had to go with the Power Rangers too. And while I understand exactly how you feel regarding the Megazord's loss (because your reaction pretty much mirrored mine), I have to admit that Voltron is the more impressive of the two in terms of ability =/

Cliche Gamer I like both Natsu and Ace. But, to my thinking, it just seemed a little too obvious because Natsu can eat fire and that's a big advantage against Ace. So I'm a little skeptical about it.

It's because the two companies that own Super Sentai and Power Rangers respectively disagree on how high the robot should be. And it's not like the footage itself will help as mecha series tend to have poor size scaling. Death Battle seems to be siding with the larger of the two measurements, while most people (PR wiki included) seem to go with the smaller measurement.

As someone who has neither watched Voltron nor Power Rangers growing up, I did not really know what to expect from this Death Battle. However, i really enjoyed it. And I will probably check out Netflixs new Voltron Series in the future. Aside from that, I really hope, that we will one day see a Death battle invoolving Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I mean, if you think this battle involved Giant Robots your mind will be blown.

Yyyyeah, there's not really any chance the first Megazord could beat Voltron. Also, since I don't think they went into it at all in this video, and in case you didn't already know this... Fun fact: Both Power Rangers AND Voltron are based on japanese shows. First season of Power Rangers is based on the Sentai series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger(Dinosaur Squadron Beast Ranger), while most of the original Voltron series is based on the mecha anime Beast King GoLion.

Hanzo Kuraiken I agree. While I am a One Piece fan and don't care much about Fairy Tail, Natsu has the complete advantage considering he could just eat the fire. Sabo could've been better than Ace as he does know how to fight without his fire powers and his haki is pretty strong too.

If it wasn't the mmpr megazord as in the og it would've maybe had a better chance like power rangers spds megazord or operation overdrive or better et the jungle fury or wild force megazord to beat voltron in the animal category. The rangers also could have won if they were able to use titanus but because it wasn't allowed it was obvious from my stance because compared with it's descendants that zord was extremely slow and had less armaments

The huge difference is that Ace can only repel fire. Natsu on the other hand repels and absorbs fire.
