"Every single word, every single second, was chosen for a purpose"...and that purpose is to repair her damaged image! The reality is that it does not repair her inner self--but then the fantasy of being a princess/duchess is all she really cares about. This is a facade--just like the rest of her life.

Third cringe: a self proclaimed modern feminist resorting to a trad wife staple ..... cooking and being a home maker. Don't get me wrong - nothing wrong with cooking a good meal, I love to do it myself once in a while* - but being a 'professional home maker' on social media is just ridiculous to every modern woman. *our kid and pets get fed regularly not just when I feel like cooking - we have a fulltime housekeeper

I totally get it as my actual name is Alexandra but I have never been called that except in the hospital and at Court lol..🤣My family call me Sandra but all my friends call me Sandy, even my family Doctor calls me Sandy. Ok, I get that but she always referred to the Queen as Harry’s grandma, that was so demeaning and disrespectful as Harry’s grandma happened to be the Queen of Great Britain 🇬🇧 and the Commonwealth, the most powerful woman in history! My mother too. She had that 'tone'. She would give me the silent treatment. I always strived to please her. She never once complimented me or told me I was pretty - things that I've seen other mothers do. It very much affected my relationships with women. @@Susan-vl8ts my mother once told me (when I had photos made with me and my daughter) “well you are photogenic it’s just a shame you are not pretty”. She now has advanced dementia and my husband and I care for her in my home. There is nothing remotely nice about her left in her personality (unless you are male and then she flirts with you and is all sweet and coy) and she calls me the most nasty names but has no clue I’m even her daughter. It’s sad, but I don’t take anything personally because she isn’t all there and thus I don’t see her as my mom anymore. That saves my sanity by being mentally closed off from her verbal abuse. If the Meg has real kids, I pity them.

Very interesting analysis. I enjoyed it tremendously. Film person here: 1. Most cooking influencers have a second kitchen. It is either in their house, guest compound or somewhere on rented property. Advantage: Once staged and equipped with well-chosen set pieces, it can permanently stay in place. It is always clean and tidy. No unwanted objects around. Most important: Light set-up can remain in place. 2. Meghan's show lacks the most important premise: Who ARE the guests, she supposedly hosts? Really? Does anyone visit them when cameras are not rolling? Sure. Montecito Castles was purchased after the image of Buckingham palace. But Queen Elizabeth II was the monarch of the UK. There were a lot of public functions, which would bring people to Buckingham Palace. Montecito cannot replicate this. Montecito is just a private home. Harry and Meghan are not these warm-hearted hosts or hot-commodity stuff that people would flock around their hearth. Not like Nigella or Ree in their heyday.

Her 'With Love' is as narssistic and as dangerous Diddy's 'Brotherly Love'. I semi-dated a woman with similar traits to Megan.. Just being around her for 10 minutes was completely traumatic along her fake empathy and addiction for constant attention and an utter inability to take responsibility for any of her actions was a living hell. Even when I fled from her she stalked and imposed herself on me for another 3 years!!!

@RVealingthenarc -The theme of your vlogpost reminds me of the the comment she made to ophra when she interviewed her and when she was showing her the rescue chickens, gleefully declaring, "I just love rescuing things!" It seemed a very thirsty and self-aggrandizing thing to say in order to appear virtuous and caring. She *talks* a lot about being caring but as you stated so well, her actions betray otherwise.

Brilliant insight. Great analysis. Y our description here makes it all very clear. I think this is why so many people have had such an adverse reaction to this trailer. It is, as you describe, so obviously calculated to change the narrative, and it backfired terribly. I am familiar with NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder), and their need for control, for adulation, and they way they view everything like a movie thats all about them. There is this audacity to present themselves as superior in everything. Its the opposite of imposter syndrome, with these grand delusions.

It’s rare to find someone else who had narcissistic parent(s) who managed to come out of the experience understanding the situation and not becoming a narcissist.. you have nailed the use of words as both weapons and their use as ‘setting the tone/environment’ that narcissists are known for.. it took me so long to understand that I could understand the meaning behind the words people used when others couldn’t. It gave me an advantage, but at the same time I had to be careful not to over react to the words of people who weren’t narcissists!! I am so glad you have understood this sooner than I did.. could be because both of my parents were narcissists and it seems you encountered your narcissist at a somewhat later stage in your life..

I totally agree with your interpretations. That whole trailer felt like an attempt to manipulate us just as she manipulated Harry. But we have watched her for years and know that she is just acting. She’s playing a role and she has no idea what “love” is. She should go bake a cake for her dad.

@Jessie20032 I totally get you as I was also married to a Narcisstic Sociopath but I didn’t know until a year after I got a DVO to remove him and my Doctor referred me to a psychologist/Counsellor! My kids were young but he didn’t let up on the verbal/emotional abuse until I got Court Orders and contact was via text/email only except in an emergency! He still carried it on until our daughter turned 18 and the Child Support stopped and then I didn’t need to deal with him. However,we have a non-verbal Autistic son and I have always met him with our son and his Carer until a month before Christmas! His dad rang my older son (obviously cos I am not answering my phone) and was angry and said “I demand to see my son,I am his father “! Both me and my son were laughing and said who does he think he is Fkn Darth Vader lol…🤣Upshot he was nasty,my Autistic son was upset and scratched us and tried to bite us and was escorted out of the club by security! It was really bad and he then sent nasty texts to me and my son. I messaged and said we’re done! I am no longer going to bring ‘Autistic child name’ with me,Carer or our older son! End of! You stuffed it up for everyone! I haven’t heard from him since! Win,Win!

10:56 she doesn't care about the details when it involves her doing. Cause if the narc gets the details (or the big things) wrong its exactly how it was meant to be. My way or the high way. Simply look at her clothing (wrinkled, too tight, too long). The details are in other people's actions. Its her saying when she nitpicks others about the details of their actions. Its not narc ab*se trying to seek fault with you to dam*ge your self-worth but an act of love.
