I agree about the generator! It’s saved us during so many power outages. I also recommend getting a deep freezer for extra food so you’re not having to go out in bad weather.

I has shin issues and found the thing that worked for me was rubbing the front of my leg from my ankle to my knee at an angle on the seam where the side meets the top of a mattress with a lot of my weight on it over and over and over.

lived in vermont for a job for the past two winters-- definitely get a generator!! vermont in a power outage is cosy and special and not having to worry about your food spoiling or your toilets not flushing really makes it better haha. days long outages are not uncommon in winter, especially if you're living out of town

The little propane cans last about 3-6 months depending on how much you cook. I live in Puerto Rico and it is very common to use the small cans.

I think it’s so important that the place you sleep is in a different physical area to where you’re spending most of your time when awake, working or cooking or whatever. Idk what the climate is like for you but you might want to also lift your mattress off the floor so it doesn’t get mouldy!

I am not sure how humid it is where you are but I would check your mattress often and maybe stand it up during the day for airflow. I have heard that mattresses that lay on the floor with no air circulation can create mold or mildew. I am not sure how long it takes for that to develop but something to be aware of! I have never had this happen personally and just found out that can happen a few weeks ago from tiktok, googled it and its true! Anyways, loving these videos!

I have been LOVING the vlogs. Congrats on your new journey! 🤟🌻 I know you’ve been doing air fryer meals, and just wanted to recommend cooking salmon filets in the air fryer! I usually cook 2 7oz filets at a time. 370 degrees (on my air fryer), skin side up up 7mins, and then flip over and 8 mins again It cooks it to a perfect medium, with a slightly crispy finish. It would be good marinaded in the smoked Sriracha sauce you showed!

The Fin Cam reminds me of the show Home Improvement! He is doing a great job and I have enjoyed him sharing real life challenges related to renovating homes. If you every decrease showing his home repairs and renovations on this channel maybe you can upload them on your old second channel (or he start his own) because there are so many people that seek out and subscribe those types of videos. Question: I was wondering if you are interested or ever considered assisting with the sanding, futures staining, or painting? You both would be able to tackle more projects which will help you reach your goals of doing the finishing and decorating portion of home ownership. With that said, I think the moving the bed was a good call. Beyond the dust from sanding I though you had mentioned the dust and dirt on the floor getting on the mattress, maybe consider putting a tarp under the mattress and a piece of it for under Finely’s clothing since you mentioned the carpet being dirty and at one point having mouse droppings on it.
