I have a Megir M2182 "Monaco" with LD53. To adjust the mini second subdial pointer try this: pull off the crown (middle) to max, then push the bottom right button. Will step the pointer. Or if you keep it pushed then it will float around until pressed. The Langexin LD53 is a cheap copy of the Seiko VD53. Megir (and its subbrand Sanda) put it into numerous quartz chronos with date at 4-30. Thanks for the review!

Great showcase review, it's a watch snob detox for me high horology watches are lovely to see.. wouldn't want to pay to have one serviced, and my fav watch is my most affordable

Thanks for reviewing 👍 The scale around the edge is supposed to act like a slide rule, so it should be possible to do calculations on it. My son-in-law has a Rotary Breitling homage and he tells me the slide rule is very useful. That Megir looks good for £12, and definitely looks better on your wrist than an f91w would. I wouldn't buy it, because I can't imagine choosing it over any of the watches I already own and I barely have time to wear them all every month!

About the slide rule bezel, one simple and useful application for it is to use it as a converter. The main point to understand is that the ratio between the inner and outer scales is always constant around the whole circle. So, if one Euro is 1.5 Canadian dollars, you set it so that 10 on one scale (Euros) aligns with 15 (CAD) on the other. You'll have to take care of the decimals though: 15 can mean 1.5 or 150 or 1500, so you should have a rough idea what magnitude the numbers are. Anyway, now you can find all the conversions immediately, there is no need to touch the bezel. At 30 on one scale you have 45 on the other, at 24 there is 36 and so on. If you want to convert 420 euros, you look at 42, you see that it aligns with 63 and you understand that means 630. It is quicker than tapping in numbers on a calculator.
