I've pretty much given up on Meguiars. I shouldn't do that, but I'm having fun with other stuff. I don't have enough experience to make a call on a product line. Thanks for the review, Brian.

Who remembers #7 Show Car Glaze? Man it was like magic in a bottle! Yes it had fillers in it but you couldn’t deny how good it made the paint look

I used that stuff on a single stage 44 year old lacquer Hugger Orange '69 SS Camaro. Its so shiny now. It is a rough around the edges survivor that was parked in barn *concrete floor* back in '79. So many spot stains I used a 3M 3" orange pad w/a Flex rotary to clean off the decades of dust. I put several passes w/ KLASSE AIO followed by KLASSE Glaze one per day-3 days.

Opps, forgot the #7 went on 2x's a day w/the 2nd coat left for 12 hr minimum. 8 layers. Then the KLASSE.

Excellent review Brian thank you. It's good to see some classic old-school products that still hold relevance and results. With all due respect, you guys get the lines on all of the latest and greatest. It's still a virtue to pop down to the local brick & mortar on a Saturday a.m. for the driveway detailer to get 90% of the results that the pro's obtain in perfect conditions. Good on you for displaying this classic and its virtues. Shine on you crazy diamond!

I mean, for the price it's not a bad product. Definitely something to consider for high volume shops or dealer prep shops. Not looking for perfection, but a solid result quickly and economically. I'll say that, for professionals, there are Ardex products that match the price and office similar or better results. Point is, you don't have to spend a lot to get good results with a quick turnaround. Good enough for volume output.

Used this in a pinch. 3D one was giving me trouble. Went down to O-Reilly's, grabbed a bottle for $17.99 and was off. Was working on new Flat Black C8 Corvette, just looking at it wrong would haze/scratch the paint. This product on a Lake Country Black Pad, two passes, worked wonders. 3D One did the job, but the need for multiple towel wipes to remove the oil induced micro marring from the towels (Rag 300's).

For a one step and done 166, for polishing 205, compounding M110. Car wash soap I like hyper wash, a little goes a long way, I still use 156 a lot, still a legit spray wax for the price. Overall I like their products, good prices, available everywhere.

What is the difference between a polish, swirl remover, and glaze? Also, would this be good for removing fading ceramic in preparation for a new coat?

You should have no problem removing an aged coating. Pretty much similar besides the glaze having some filling capabilities.

@richardvacanti9428 a d.a. will produce heat. Especially if you hover in one spot to long. I use the 15-20 degree rule. If the air temp is 75, the no more then 15-20 degrees paint temperature. I polish at 3 to 3.5 on the speed. 3 or less for 2nd step if needed to clear up any haze. Hope that helps.

Good job 👍 good product!, it would have been interesting to put it face to face with the consumer version meguiar's swirl X (or swirl remover according to label)?! Which is also a thick formula, surely derived from M9. I got good results with foam pad one step and cutting pad to remove swirls on paint in fairly good condition!.

OG Meguiar's. I still have a bottle of that stuff. I was about ready to toss it, but I may try a different pad like you did, because I still couldn't get the fine scratches out with a D/A. Fifteen years ago, I used to use that with Megs 205, then One Grand Blitz Wax applied with cheese cloth. Lol! I don't think 3M has done much since they bought Meguiar's. BTW, if you had any choice of any brands of compound and polishes, what would you go with? Koch Chemie, Menzerna, Sonax?? I'm a DIYer, and those polishing chemicals last for years. Thnx.

3D, no contest. ACA 500 for heavy cutting, 520 for finishing, and One for everything else. One and an assortment of pads is really all a diy person needs. It’s that good at everything paired with good pads.

Don't use Meg's any longer. Merely a marketing name from 3M......back in the day 25+ years ago....the dusting had to be accepted until Dr.G and Optimum came along. Never looked at Meg's again. Once they were sold I only use their Coating..... Tremendous product. Then You Brian came out with y😅 your BC1 ...... 😊🎉❤
