In the original scans for the chapter that Nitta was introduced there was a translation error that introduced Nitta as Todo's brother. It has been fixed and wasn't touched upon in the anime because they aren't related. This guy is covering manga and has been for a while, I assume he just misremembered.

Personal theory. Yuji has a domain, BENEVOLENT SHRINE. Makes sense to be the antithesis of sukunas. Since his soul is copying techniques and abilities. The shine actually allows the souls of his friends or fallen sorcerers to commune and fight in that space. Only their souls. This plays out a fan service to get gojo, nobura, hell basically everyone to fight back. This is how sukuna is taken out. Butttt. Then megumi does all the shit to do merger anyway due to the terrible things. Yuji does fight back and ends up being able to heal the soul with punches instead of damaging it. Helping to save megumi and bring him out of the dark. Yuji dies in the final moments With megumi as well. But is surrounded by all his friends souls and megumis soul. All smiling and heading north together

If Megumi does end up being the final boss that would be a perfect setup. Six eyes with limitless is the strongest technique in jjk. Only thing that's on par is the 10 shadow according to what's been stated. If in the end we have a Megumi who has fully realized his technique and Yuji who defeats him then it would mean Yuji finally surpassed Gojo. This would also not ruin Sekuna's rep as the strongest since he would of been killed by the gang of fights he had to go through

As the only Megumi main here... I think you're right unfortunately. I was thinking black flash yuji goes nuts and is doing well neutering Sukuna but unfortunately Sukuna uses Miguel's capoiera to dodge Yujis attacks. He eventually powers up gets his arms back and starts hitting black flashes with the multiple arms. Sukuna hits full power but Megumis mind is healed and he decides to step in and save Yuji. Using max power sukuna and the info from Sukunas battle with Gojo plus infinite info he masters Chimera garden and uses it to fuse with all the shikigami. Megumi splits with Sukuna with Sukuna using the tengen embryo as a new body. We get DemonMegumi, Yuji(who I think is the triplet that Sukuna didn't devour) and Yuta with 6 eyes inherited because Gojo gives it to him after an airport run in. But you might be right if we go dark... Great video. Great theory. I'm scared as the only one holding Megumi stocks.

That was regarding the main 4 characters iirc (Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Gojo). Currently Gojo is dead (barring any ridiculous revival twist), Nobara is either offscreen dead or in a coma or something, Megumi is possessed by Sukuna still, and Yuji is still fighting. With the factors we have in play, any combination of 3 characters living, or any solo character living are possible. Though I'd say Gojo surviving is the least likely thing, despite people insisting he'll have his 2nd revival like Buddha (personally I think him being unsealed represented the 2nd revival and he really is dead for good now)

At 0:44 the camera goes into sukuna's mouth (on yuji's body) into what kinda looks like a domain expansion to me. A giant space full of papers (or panels/pictures?) Forming the floor and walls and even hand signs, let's keep that there for a sec. We know that Yuji is : 1- Someone who cares deeply about the people around him 2- Way stronger when he fights alongside one of his friends/senseis (jumping kaisen) 3- May or may not have the ability to create false memories (as seen with Todo and Choso), probably related to his soul ability Now imagine that domain is yuji's domain, and those papers flying around are memories of him and his friends, in this domain he would pick up a random memory (not unlike a certain someone's domain), let's say megumi as an example, and either (in order of the most likely to least likely): 1- Invoke the megumi into the domain or a paper clone 2- apply one of megumi's cursed techniques to the opponent through the picture (slapping it on him or whatever) 3- Swallows the memory and be able to use megumi's cursed techniques For this not to be overpowered there probably should be restrictions and prior requirements for a memory to show up. The restrictions could be that the clone can only use a technique once and/or at random (same for 2), and for the 3 (swallowing the memory) only be able to use the techniques for a short amount of time or one technique only. As for the prior requirements, I guess it could be something like having a genuine bond with the person and enough knowledge of their cursed techniques, having fought alongside them before or something similar. I do think it is a possibility that three important sorcerers get turned into a cursed puppet like panda, which could be yuji after dying after the merger, megumi who is broken and nobara who is broken, and perhaps if he takes them into him as a puppet he can help heal their souls as they will be a part of him and he will have rct and can see the soul. There is one thing about the merger I think needs to be addressed. One of the motivations discussed earlier was that it could be used to make everyone a sorcerer. This is interesting because there tend to be two kinds of stories, in regards to universes like jjk. You have stories that end definitively by dissolving the systems that created the conflict, and you have stories that are open ended and allow for sequels by persisting those systems. As such I think the question needs too be asked, will jjk end with the end of jujutsu or with the end of an Era and the beginning of a new wave of sorcery?

Also, I think when Gojo said "sukuna's technique will be eched onto Yuji", it wasn't specifically to Yuji but rather to any vessel. I think the technique of the curse transfers to the host overtime but if the curse is in control, the transfer happens much faster. Yuji didn't give control to Sukuna so he probably doesn't have the technique whereas Sukuna has been in control of Sukuna for so much longer that I think when Megumi wakes up, he'll have all of Sukuna's technique as well as his own.

I don't think Megumi fully turns "evil". They kept stressing how Megumi only saves who he thinks deserves to be saved. After everything, he'll probably just do the merger as a way to get rid of all sorcerers/CE since that's the root of so many of his problems. We saw that he was willing to Mahoraga himself constantly because he didn't think he was a person worth saving. He'd definitely merger everyone if he's forced out after Sukuna gets defeated

WE HAVE no clue what shoko curse technique is so for all we know it’s some over powered ability tied to RCT. RCT isn’t a curse technique it’s something any sorcerer has the potential of getting so her actual curse technique might be crazy lol Shoko doesn’t necessarily need to heal them completely. she might just need to heal them to the point where there RCT can activate and they can heal themselves along with shoko healing. i think with 120% of her potential she can also make up for the loss in effectiveness for trying to heal someone else. it’s her specialty

I picture megumi becoming a curse spirit like sukana but is linked to something important so they can't kill him so he becomes an imprisoned spirit. Or Possibly becoming a ten shadow summon because yugi can't bring himself to kill him.

I feel like JJK has always hinted that one of my main cast would turn evil eventually. For the longest time I thought Gojo would be the Final Big Bad of the series, especially after he got unsealed. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Megumi because at this point if he doesn’t comeback evil there’s no way he returns alive or reasonably okay

This would be such a clever subversion of expectations and a fitting way to end jjk imo. Also, the merger is definitely going to happen lol. So much battle animanga properties that have had extremely similar plot points (naruto, evangelion, Full Metal) basically end the same way just for it to be reversed somehow once it’s done. In truth it’s the most engaging way to story-write and reaches peak suspense for the reader. I think what’s hard for people to conceptualise it happening is the how it would be resolved. Honestly, I feel like the merger, being transcended beyond any curse spirit or entity in the series, and probably possessing some degree of infinite intelligence hence the correlation between curse spirit intelligence and strength, would probably leave some type of grand resolution for the story and for the resolution of Megumi’s character arc in some way. It also would be easy for Gege to give a being like that some kind of fate warping curse technique as well to undo everything. This would almost perfectly mirror Evangelion. Just spitballing here

I think Gege will give us a twist, similar to the one you said, but I think it will be Tengen. Something tells me that, when Sukuna ingested Tengen, what we saw was the Star Plasma vessel ritual. Kenjaku laughed at Tengen for wanting to look like Sukuna, but what if she could get Sukuna's body. What if a reincarnated sorcerer is reincarnated within another reincarnated sorcerer. Idk, just think it *could* make sense.

Maybe Megumi and Sukuna have an arrangement where Sukuna is in control. He even looks like himself but it's still Megumis body. Therefore, Kenjaku knew that he had to give Megumi the ability so Sukuna could use it, kind of how Sukuna got to use his Ten Shadows Technique. Kind of like Borushiki but he looks like Momoshiki in that form. Maybe I could have left out that last part lol.
