@@abulahab6528 old dope fiend peterson? The guy who says to get your own house in order first while guzzling bottles of pain pills and benzos? Yeah he's right on a lot of things. He's also a liar and anyone with a high school education can see that his statistical analysis of the J's in power is completely wrong. I say he's a liar because he's obviously smart enough to understand the math so that must make him a liar because one standard deviation higher in IQ cannot make up for that many positions of power when the group only makes up 2% of the population. That's a basic first year statistics problem. Easily solvable by anybody who knows math. But yeah he's great... Control the variables you can about yourself and improve yourself. great advice thanks Doc!

Same! I was and remain the only person in my friend group who's parents are still together and very much in love. We did not have a lot but we had enough and that was all we needed. I was terribly bullied in middle school and I don't know how I would have come thru that if my mom worked outside of the home and I came home to an empty house everyday. My mom carries guilt to this day because we didn't have name brand sneakers and we wore hand me downs but I would not trade having my mom at home for any of that

You only need to look at Tom’s face to know his home life as a kid. Every tattoo, every piece of metal screams, “My parents hated me! And I hate them!” It’s chilling to see and hear what today’s kids uphold as role models.

The web magnifies the Kane & Abel dynamic. One gets jealous of the other and it justifies the means to be vicious & mean to one another based off of the feeling of internally perceived inadequacy. On the flip side, it's simultaneously an endless library of learning & blueprint to skill accumulation if you choose to use it as such.

I chose my family over a career. I have never regretted it. Frightening statistic, on a personal level : I know seven professional women ( MD’s, Attorneys, a Professor, PHD’s who have a child that has died of a drug overdose or suicide ). I hold them while they cry, hold space for them, and the grief never goes away. I go home knowing my children are strong, capable, self supporting with family as their focus. Best decision I ever made. And this year my husband and I are married fifty years, still in love and still working hard on the land.

One of the negatives the interwebz has brought us is the instant ability to compare our lives to one that we think is ideal of some person on the other side of the world with 100% different start / experiences / talent / options than us. What we DON'T see... is they have the same exact problems as the rest of us, we just cannot see it in that one video / picture they posted.

There's and old saying "Keeping up with the Joneses". Envy & jealousy is nothing new. It's a BAD thing no matter the method. Competition is one thing - standards of living are one thing - the problem is not knowing your financial limits & boundaries & getting into insane DEBT trying to impress people who couldn't care less about you. Then theres the one's who've been handed everything "free" their whole lives - subsidized since birth - the entitled - who come with victim decks of cards...who are insufferable & ungrateful. Kids see THAT kind all around them. Then they're lied to with the " You can be ANYTHING YOU WANT TO BE!" - (And sue if you fail) rotten attitude people. And they expect the GOVERNMENT to fix ALL their issues. There's a WHOLE lot of STUPID communist type messaging out there that has to be undone, that's for sure.

I'm under 40, married, two kids, mortgage is almost paid of, two paid off suvs, paid off rv, 13 paid off motorcycles, but the reason I'm the richest man in the world is because I've taken the last 4 years off work to raise my kids. The rest is just being keen on the barter system and working hard before kids, my wife has been in her career since she was 16 and has done well enough for me to stay home and be a dad.

I served my country in the USAF for 6 years. I've been married to my husband for almost 20 years, our two children are happy, healthy and thriving. I'm lucky that my husband's company makes enough that I have been able to be a stay at home mom since we started having children. We all volunteer in our community with our local VFD, American Legion, church and PTA. We've got good friends that we've grown up with and now our children are growing together with their children. There has never been a time when our friends weren't there for us, or we weren't there for them, in a time of need (which thank God those times have been few). We live our normal little life, in our little community, with our little group of friends and try to do a little each day to make our world a better place for ourselves and others. I wouldn't trade one second of my life for all the money "happiness" in the world!

I was in the Navy, been around the world twice. Got my Shellback (crossed the equator). Been through both canals, been through the Straights of Magellan, around the Horn of Africa. Been to every continent except Antarctica (and the penguins can keep that). Got me some medals and a few promotions did my duty and am glad I did it. Been a cop ever since and I've arrested some real bad guys, saved some kids and done my best to be the best community oriented cop I can be. See my job is to make sure that Joe and Jane Citizen can live their lives as free from harm as possible. I've helped some families remember that their still families (one of my favorite nicknames was preacher) and am still proud to do it. I've been in the hospital twice from injuries sustained in the line of duty and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I'm thankful to God for allowing me to do any good I've done (I'm so sorry about the bad, Father). What I'm most grateful for? Being a husband to my wife (I love you mi amor with all I am) and being dad to my outstanding kids. I wouldn't trade my life for all the gold in the world. God bless you Tom.
