Megyn Kelly blasts Scotland’s ‘dopey’ First Minister over new hate crime laws

The Megyn Kelly Show host Megyn Kelly has criticised the Scottish government over its new hate crime laws.
The Hate Crime and Public Order (Scotland) Act, which came into force on Monday has received backlash over whether or not it goes against freedom of speech.
“They’ve changed the hate laws in Scotland now to say … if you say something that’s offensive or insulting about a transgender person among others you could go to jail for seven years if it is considered stirring up hate,” Ms Kelly told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“It will be up to some woke Scottish policeman to decide whether you remain a free person.
“How did the Scots vote for this?
“That dopey minister said it was unanimous which it wasn’t, but the point is they have bigger fish to fry.
“They have a lot bigger problems over there in Scotland to worry about than this.”

Each of those elected members of Parliament are usually members of a specific political party, if they aren't they stand as independents. The party that has the most MPs elected becomes the ruling party, wherever you are in the U.K. Yousaf is elected by his constituency (area where he stood for election) and therefore is elected. The party with the most MPs is the ruling party and they choose their leader. What we do not have, nor do we have the money for such is the political circus that occurs in the U.S. every 4 years, almost as soon as the President is inaugurated, when they start looking for the next President. We don't have states, so we only have 2 tiers of Government, Local and Federal and they are quite enough.

I noted that hate only applies to named groups of people. People like me: white woman, mother of four (same father: to whom I'm still married) Christian and Conservative are not protected. This new law has to be a big headache for Scottish police. Reasonable is just too vague. Not all police are woke and many of them don't want to be roped in. Men who say Scotland is too white are being racist and hence hateful. Women's safety so important.
