I am so sorry of the loss of your sister. Losing a sibling is a grief that is rarely talked about and so incredibly painful. Almost 10 years ago my baby sister Susan died at 32 years young. It’s a loss I felt every day. Treasure the memories and cry when you need to because it will be hard….prayers for you and all your family

Gwenn, I'm sorry for your loss. My younger sister (and as I posted, my only sibling) died unexpectedly in 2016. It's truly a loss that I feel every single day. I don't know when the feeling of loss will lessen. I was 11 years older and I thought my father would be first, then my mother and then it would be me. We never know what life is going to hand us.

Susan and Gwenn, so sorry for your heartbreak. Life is so fragile and mysterious. Don't know why the "wick of some candles" are longer than others, but my faith tells me that the light of a beautiful soul for however long it shone on Earth is never extinguished. Heading to my niece's house now to teach my sister's first grandchild-born after my sister's passing-and three of her classmates a religion class. As I teach them about Christ and the promise of eternal life, I ask God to strengthen my faith in His promises. Your dear sister's heart lives on in you. How sweet it was of you to respond to me.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I lost my brother at the age of 50 and my youngest sister at 51. My heart hurts for you and your parents. It hurts to see your parents grieve over losing their children & know you can't remove that pain. We've had tragedy this past month as well. My remaining sister's husband went into the hospital & died in a two week span. We buried him on the 11th. I do feel so sad for your sister's grandchildren. I thought my heart would rupture watching my sister's grandchildeen weep over their Papa passing. It's hard for everyone but it's hard to see the babies so hurt. I pray for you all. I know you are all so sorrowful.

Losing a sibling is tough because there are only a few people on Earth who know what it was like to grow up where you did. Your siblings know what you and your parents were really like. It’s a much different perspective than even what your parents had.

My heart breaks for you Megyn.... I lost a brother - my best friend - at the age of 26 (I as 24) It devastated me for years. It's the person you've known your whole life. I then lost my husband at the age of 49 (I was 44) and left with three teenagers. It changes you. It does make you more thoughtful and less judgemental. I pray for you and her family and your mom to have peaceful grieving. To talk abt her often and lovingly. May God wrap y'all in his arms so you can feel his strength and his loving embrace. My 15 year sister died in a car accident 22 years ago. Not a day goes by without me still thinking about her. My parents were never the same but had four other kids to raise. As a father myself now I would definitely agree that losing a child is the worst thing to happen to someone. Nothing else really matters in life but your love for your family and friends.

My sister Sherry died at the very end of September this year. She was the oldest sibling of 9. My heart was so sad. She is a loving child of God who while she was on this planet gave her heart full of love to everyone she knew. Always helping her neighbors. I could never be able to handle the loss as we talked every week but I know that now she is 30 and full of love and peace. She is standing in a great crowd of people with her hands held high and praises and love for our Father flowing from her heart. One day we will be with our beautiful sisters again.
