I met Kirk Douglas thirty years ago last month in L.A. in a site trailer. I was a young punk checking on items being coffee, sodas, etc. and he was a class act gentleman like the other guys mentioned in this string. I didn't say a word to him out of respect and he made a point to say hello and offer me a coke.

It's Hollywood's loss - James is a fantastic actor and his loyalty and open love he has for friends who are in the business is heartwarming. He recounts stories and anecdotes on his 'X' account of times with the likes of his best friend James Garner and has so much more substance than many of those younger 'stars' parading around today.

I saw the The Onion Field in about 1980 on TV in Ireland when I was 11 years old. Even at such a young age I thought it was an incredible film. This was when TV was kind of wild & lawless. In fact I watched some of the most violent & terrifying films as a kid & loved every one of them. A truly brilliant actor

Good for you James. Former Beverly Hills agent and still writer/producer for 25 years. Wrote the sequel to In The Line Of Fire that was greenlit twice but still never got made. I feel for you mate. I bugged out to Mexico midway through pandemic to retire but back at it to try and give a certain former Disney lady her second act. Stay frosty!

My grown children (now in their late 30's/early 40's) do not allow any mention of today's political candidates in their homes. I am not allowed to mention Donald Trump and they are not allowed to mention Joe Biden. And...they have asked me NOT to mention Donald Trump's name/ my political beliefs in front of my grandchildren. It makes me sad, angry & frustrated knowing I can't speak my mind without risking access to my grandchildren.

James Woods my heart is full of emotions and I was so moved. From the first film you made with Elia Kazan “The Visitors”, Once Upon a Time in America, I loved you in that masterpiece “Against All Odds”, you made me smile in the episode where you have to stop smoking in “ The Cat's Eye", unique and wonderful in "Salvador", memorable in "Best Seller" together with Brian Dennehy, moving and touching in "The Boost" and many others and I won't list all the extraordinary directors who they had the honor of having you in their films! Hollywood has never been as cruel and racist as it is today! It has erased all kinds of creativity and oppressed anyone who does not conform to common woke thinking. The question is how is it possible that studio bosses continue to lose billions of dollars producing woke films that people don't go to see. But why do they continue? I remember the 60's 70's 80's 90's up until 2000 I remember those wonderful nights of the extraordinary Oscars with many various films without any censorship.... but it will end like all fashions, this too will pass, it's just hypocrisy, fashion of the moment, and a form of power , but this power will end. One has to love James Woods who is not only a great and talented actor, producer, etc, but he has a natural gift for storytelling too. I could listen to his tales for hours. Plus, years ago when I had a Twitter account (shut down by the previous regime before Elon Musk came along), I was blessed that shortly after following James Woods' Twitter account, he followed me right back. I never expected him to follow little old me, so it was a wonderful surprise that I never took for granted. All the best always, James Woods! :)

If you don't know a celebrity's political viewpoint, there's a good chance they're conservative. James Woods is a highly underrated actor. Had the pleasure of working with him on a photo project in the late 90s right after Ghosts of Mississippi came out. A very decent and down to earth man.
