Mehdi Hasan DESTROYS Suella Braverman - And So Much More

Mehdi Hasan is second to none when it comes to debating, and so his new book - Win Every Argument - is a must read. Here, he talks to me about why the left can be so bad at convincing people of its arguments; he tears Tory racism to pieces; points out the outrageous hypocrisy of the BBC over Gary Lineker - and warns that US democracy may yet succumb to fascism.

Well over the border fighting. But yea I guess if there was a war here the men would move to a safe country and leave the women and children which is exactly what has happened with the Ukraine right? Yep all females 18-60 have to remain but all the men have been able to leave. Hooray for equality!

Why did MSNBC offer Mehdi Hassan a platform for his views? Because Mr. Mehdi Hassan frames his questions in a way that is not offensive to the establishment. Mr. Hassan doesn't pose any threat to the major media account of events. So, he is welcomed to their circles. In fact Hassan creates an elusion that MSNBC types are open and inclusive, when they are anything but.

there is a disturbing trend to mythologize Adolf Hitler, like 'never before and never' since. This is simply not true. Hitler was a singular person (as we really all are) but not unique.

Excellent discussion. Always liked Mehdi, a wee bit contrary and I lamented his fall from LBC but when he is on fire as with this discussion, he is brilliant. PS, I called it for Trump in 2016 because I knew he hit THE nerve with American working class 😅

I called Brexit (applied for Dutch nationality a year before the vote, got it 6 months before) and Trump. The former was obvious to anyone who has seen the Mail / Sun. The latter anyone who thought that Americans would vote for female nepotism.

I thought Owen was a fair journalist, but I’m surprised at how fawning his interview was with Mehdi and his placid acceptance of everything Mehdi said. Very shocked. Have a look at Mehdi’s claims about Taibbi.. and follow that through to the truth. As far as I know Mehdi hasn’t apologised yet!
