Last week, in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump surprised the world by appearing to dismiss a long-standing US commitment to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Prominent hard-right Israeli Education Minister, Naftali Bennett, welcomed the statement saying: "The era of a Palestinian state is over."
"There already exists two states for the Palestinians: one in Gaza, a full blown state run by Hamas, and the other is Jordan, where 70 percent of the citizens are, indeed, Palestinians," Bennett told UpFront. "So the discussion is whether we need a third Palestinian state smack in the heart of Israel, and the answer is no."
When asked about the Israeli Supreme Court's 2005 ruling describing the West Bank as under "belligerent occupation", Bennett called it a "political decision" and cited the Bible as proof of Israel's right to the West Bank.
"If you want to say that our land does not belong to us, I suggest you go change the Bible first," says Bennett.

+lalit Sharma What are you referring to? The city of Makkah itself or the Grand Mosque? If you are referring to Makkah or Madina as cities, you can enter it as tourists or traders. In fact, the Saudi government hires tons of Non-Muslims to work in these cities. If you are referring to the Kaaba or anywhere around the Mosque, there is a Quranic verse. "O you who have believed, indeed the polytheists are unclean, so let them not approach al-Masjid al-Haram after this, their [final] year. And if you fear privation, Allah will enrich you from His bounty if He wills. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Wise." -Al Quran c9 v28 The Quran only talks about the polytheists, not ALL Non-Muslims. And the reason for that is because the polytheists aren't religiously clean to enter such a holy place. And this isn't present in Islam only, there are loads of temples in India which are exclusive to Hindus. (Guruvayur Temple) (The Saudi Government-because it is extreme and Wahabbi- they stop all Non-Muslims from entering. Even though, the Quran says opposite) And what does this have to with what I said initially? It is absolutely stupid to believe that a certain part of Earth is only made for you and your people, and it ruins the message of God which is equality.
