I really like this format. Even if the people blind tasting it come up with slightly different notes, I think that illustrates the complexity of tea. It's nice to see.

I'm just being cozy on a sofa, curing my flu and watching you guys getting wasted over some intriguing tea. Can't think of anything better right now. After seeing Sam at the teahouse, it was so nice to see he is such a sunshine irl too ☺

I know these videos are more complicated to create, but I very much look forward to watching when I see multiple people on the thumbnail. This isn't to say I don't appreciate Don's solo videos. It's just a nice change of pace. Having these once every 4-6 weeks would be amazing!

“If you’re ever in London…” We were, so we did! What a great tea experience! Sam inquired about our likes and dislikes and recommended several teas we had not previously tried during the two hours we were there! Of course, we found both teas and teaware we loved! Thank you, Sam, for a truly memorable Mei Leaf experience!

Hi Sam! I'm a day late coming back from a party in Cologne, and I couldn't wait to sit down and watch this newest video after I saw on the thumnail, that you and Adrian would be in it. It's always such a treat to watch Don drinking and discussing tea with any of you people from the teahouse. The Yunnan White definitely sounds a treat as well. I'm following with Pear Cloud and now I feel as if I had been watching a Wednesday Live that I missed. Thanks so much for asking! Loved to read the comments on this one.

Yong De and Yiwu is a very exciting pairing, because it makes sense. In my own experience, the Yong De terroir is lively and rounded. Yiwu has more of the softer, fruitier notes and that ties this entire tea together. I can't wait to grab a tong, because Yong De teas age beautifully.

I know I haven’t tried it yet but I hope the series doesn’t stray too far from the previous iterations. I liked it for its differences vs the other white teas, and preferred the iterations like peony chirps and floating lotus that I felt had the more intense herb/spice florals alongside raspberry-esque milk tea flavours!
@beth.727 күн бұрын
It actually sounds a bit like all of them rolled into one, don’t you think? 😃 With emphasis on Flower Crane and Peony Chirps.
@JoeyTR26 күн бұрын
@@beth.7From the website it does seem to be the case but I’ll find out when I try it! My impression from the video is that it will be a technically better experience with broader tasting notes, though I want an iteration which focuses on the notes which made the series feel unique vs its peers. I think puerhs or the Jade star series would be more my go to when in the mood for a broad and varied journey of a session with more forestyness and depth
@beth.726 күн бұрын
@@JoeyTR I know what you mean; I feel similarly about the Fuding Shou Mei Series. With the whites from Yunnan I actually look forward to variations and experiment. - But, that said, I do dread the day when I’ll be out of Peony Chirps.

@@beth.7I would love the chance to taste the one that started it all. I was blown away with Feather Maiden and really enjoyed Floating Lotus. I'm excited to try this newest one. I almost always love Don's selections but there's almost something too safe with choosing a Yiwu tea. I love the finds from off the beaten path like two favorite varieties outside white (forest jam and luxe frontier)!!!
@beth.721 күн бұрын
@@andrewshippy6623 Oh yes - Forest Jam and especially Luxe Frontier are absolute tops! Love them too. Although I wonder whether it's all due to their experimental/crossover origin or whether it's more that they are very good teas that have been masterfully produced; especially Luxe Frontier. That one is a real luxury to drink. - Btw, very early on after I discovered pressed teas I bought a whole cake of a Yiwu ripe (not from Mei Leaf) and it was the viles thing I've ever tasted. Everbody else had been raving about it; so I guess I got a dud that had been stored badly. But still, origin is no safeguard. 😉
