Something about that rounded tea tray is very clean and appealing. I'd really just want that but in the same size as the larger trays

Think this would be great for outdoors! I hate lugging my tea tray inside and outside, but I love that this one is clay and I could prob just leave it outside and start brewing immediately. And the clay would look seamless with backyard furniture!

Why would you need a tray outside lol just dump the excess on the ground
@naomiroyle96372 жыл бұрын
Good idea. Even though I have the ground to pour onto, I like having a base for the setup. I'm mostly brewing outside with a camp stove and thermos while doing blackberry cane removal all winter wearing ski bibs, so this feels nice to have a little elegance amidst the chaos of cutting.

These look wonderful. My grandfather was a Marconi wireless telegraphist (he actually got but didn’t take up a post on the Titanic) so morse code is a wonderful attraction for me for my first tray. I’m torn between the satellite - or the Gong Fu bowl (which I suspect I would use more frequently). A nice decision to have to make!

Instantly ordered this along with a new smaller gaiwan (I have the 150ml blue set) and new gong dao bei. I love my satellite, but now it can stay on the kitchen table for when I have guests, and this can stay on my desk! I also love that this is just clay and steel, I always worry about getting the bamboo of the satellite too wet and it getting stained, so now it gets to stay clean and looking pretty in the kitchen.

Hi teaheads....the vessel is wonderful....but I wonder when I will be able to place another order. I’m from Italy and I’m still waiting for my last pack with a huge amount of tea, that is now still hold in custom....I’m having big big problems post-Brexit and last time I have paid over 80 euros only for custom taxes!! And this time they say that they are not allow to import such amount of tea (“only” two pouches and tree cakes!) so they are going to resend the pack in London! I’m very sad about that...other of you people out there had problems like this? Thank you...

Hi Don! The Vessel looks really handy and stylish! I was wondering for a while about Darjeeling teas. Maybe you could help me understand. I don’t think I ever saw Darjeeling at MeiLeaf website and I think you made no videos on that topic. I wonder why that is. I tried a Darjeeling once, at the very beginning of my tea journey, and I wasn’t wowed but I suppose it could be because at the time I mostly drank green teas. Some of my friends sometimes talk about Darjeelings, but I really have no opinion, as I never had a chance to taste any again. Don’t MeiLeaf stock Darjeelings because they’re not a top quality teas or maybe you just don’t know farmers from there or...? I hope this question is not too impolite. All the teas I had from MeiLeaf were outstanding, compared to other sources, and so I wondered if maybe Darjeelings are not considered high quality enough?

My thoughts are: how the hell are we Europeans going to order anything again from Mei Leaf now after January 1 2021? I need to pay 22% customs plus tax, so if I order 100 EUR I have to pay 35 EUR extra! Thank you BREXITERS! Now you can have all the goodies to yourselves. Don, are you ready to move your company to Europe finally?
@MeiLeaf3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Yes but please don't forget that we are no longer charging EU clients any sales tax so you are paying less for Teaware than you would have before Brexit. To be very clear, any sales tax that you pay in your country would be similar to the sales tax that you would be paying before Brexit (maybe 2% higher because UK VAT is 20%). So there is very little difference in price. There should be no further customs duties on tea due to Free Trade Agreement. The problem is that some countries and carriers are charging extra handling fees. We are doing everything that we can to reduce these handling fees and we are working on other options.
@AhimSaah3 жыл бұрын
@@MeiLeaf Thank you for your answer. I didn't quite get it though, I ordered some tea and teaware in January and received it a few days ago and had to pay 22% customs + 13 EUR tax. I was totally shocked. Before 2021 I never had to pay a cent. So there was in fact a tremendous difference in my understanding. Am I missing something?
@MeiLeaf3 жыл бұрын
@@AhimSaah there should not be any customs duties to pay. The only thing that you should be charged is sales tax (which you are no longer paying on our website so the total should be similar to what you paid before Brexit +/- a few percent) and handling charges. If you are being charged customs duties then this is against the legal agreement. Unfortunately it seems that a few countries are not following the rules properly and we are chasing these up to ask why. Which country are you from please? In future, we will try to allow you to pay everything on our website and we will be paying the local country fees ourselves, this way, we take the risk for incorrect customs fees. We are testing this system currently and need to make sure it works before launching.
@AhimSaah3 жыл бұрын
@@MeiLeaf Thank you once again for your answer, I'm from Slovenia. At the post office they were not able to explain to me why I had to pay. Then I called the customs service and again the same story, nobody new why. I just had to pay and since it took 26 days for it to arrive (all my previews parcels from Mei Leaf arrived in 3-4 days) I just payed for it. I payed 35,41 EUR for a 111, EUR purchase. I shall make further enquiries now that you told me this!
