It's incredible how much more flavour and dynamics you can hear from a drummer that's completely embodied by the groove and can't help but bob and bounce around at the rhythm, it's never the same when you listen to a drummer sitting still when playing.

From 2:00 on sounds heavily AAL influenced, from rhythms and chord progressions to synth sounds and tones. Guitars are more similar to early AAL than latter AAL, but there are similarities. Not claiming that it's a ripoff or watered down, I think it's pretty excellent. But they have more in common than just genre. Edit: yeah, the version with vocals definitely changes the sound, for the worse imo 😬

Garstkas knowledge and actual performance on the drums vastly exceeds Naveen’s.. thats just a fact, but Naveen is solid at what he does which is drumming in METAL. Their styles are diametrically opposed to each other.. If you are comparing the two as far as metal goes Naveen fits better and will always have the edge.. but if you compare the two at their knowledge and actual abilities on the drums Matt is the more advanced drummer period.
