Amid a ton of drum videos online, this is simply in a different league. The tuning of the vintage kit, the ridiculous mix of fast decay cymbals, the rhythmic shifts from latin to pure funk, the bonkers fills - every tiny detail adds up to incredible groove, momentum and feel, and a riveting musical experience. Greb is meticulous; he is to drums what the GB cycling team are to the Tour de France. Be inspired, it doesn't get any better than this.

I've watched a lot of astonishing drumming videos, but I always come back to this one. It is unquestionably, in my eyes, the best single drumming performance I've ever seen. Every stroke, every kick, is exactly where it needs to be in exactly the right way. Benny, your dedication to the craft is phenomenal and inspiring. I only hope to be one quarter as good as you.

I'm a drummer, and I don't collect drummer albums for several reasons. However, In my mid-forties, I find myself with a pretty good collection of Benny Greb albums. This is because I've found much of the music in his own name to be good to listen to - and not just because he's playing drums/percussion on them. On a Meinl KZbin channel, on which one of my favorite drummers is playing in a video - I wanna give a shout out to the other musicians on his albums. The vocals on this clip are off-the-chart. We drummers need to recognize the amazing talent playing behind some of our favorite drummers - in my humble opinion, of course!. ps. accolades to Meinl as well :)
