Ahmygawd, YES This is now my go to working music video, it's so incredibly beautiful and serene... I can barely contain the emotions that swell within me while I listen to this. I'm glad I can now share this to everyone so they can get a feel for it too! And yes, I love you forever! You manage to flawlessly capture and showcase the incredible atmospheres and worlds that we explore as WoW Players, giving us a chance to immerse ourselves outside of the game and inspire us with fond memories. I want to help you succeed! And... I also have plenty of ideas for you so that can happen! You've done plenty already but I know there's some things that aren't there yet... Seriously tho, since I started paying real attention to the names, a few years back, I have been discovering he's behind (almost) everything I've been truly loving WoW music wise... Up there with Uelmen of course. From draenei stuff to Skywall music, to the classic Soggy track (iirc) and this. And I truly need such music in my life because I really don't appreciate this reality of greed/violence/hate (aka stupidity -willingness to be exploited and self-destructive and proud of it too, lol...- the source of most evils) and always seek for peaceful stuff, even if I know most ppl don't have that mentality (to even seek peaceful stuff, for a start) and that can't be changed by listening to any sort of good music... humans wouldn't make the right choices even if their life depended on it (oh wait, it's already happening to a large extent). Sorry for the off-topic. Do enjoy whatever good can still be enjoyed :s

Ebb and flow, from shelf to shore, your spirit's woes. Fear not brother. The waves judge not your surface. This music, along with the quotes from Brother Pike (hats off to the VA) were unbelievably enchanting on the first playthrough. Oddly sorrowful and mystic in its beauty - I got major flashbacks to the vibes I had when first exploring Grizzly Hills. No matter the state of the game or grievances with mechanics; the Blizzard art, music and cinematic teams are in a league of their own. Thank you for everything then, now and in the future

I've been putting the Kul Tiran music to work lately in a D&D game, specifically running Ghosts of Saltmarsh as a campaign book. The Stormsong theme, particularly the version performed on the organ, was used to set emotional tone. Feels as if Blizzard was heavily inspired by Max Richter for this zone.
@hawkstrike183 жыл бұрын
Hmm I'm not sure... but Derek Duke has been doing his thing for ages anyway, if you pay attention you'll see that he's consistently got the most soothing/otherworldly sounds; I don't think he needed to sound like Richter to achieve that, even if deciding to use this instrument makes it seem like it. Just check how different his segments here sound, compared to those of the rest composers. Then, listen to Skywall music, iirc it has the same(?) heavenly vibes. Then again, I don't know enough about how to analyze music, to truly judge whether there is a severe resemblance or not. I know it is similar, but yh, maybe it a) doesn't have to be intended and b) there are many differences in reality..? 🤷 Definitely a good observation tho!

I hate BFA more than shadowlands no jokes. Shadowlands, I knew from the get go it will be ass. But BFA? Looking at zones, music, art, themes, little ideas, little stories, some of the directions they took, it could have been, without a doubt, the best expansion WoW had ever had. It had so much potential, so much good ideas, it could bring back the game to what made it so good in the very first place, "reignite the spark" so to speak. But it didn't, and instead it makes me so much more infuriated than shadowlands: Because BFA could have been fantastic, and had every right to do so, yet ended up nearly at the bottom of the barrel.

@@Meisio I'm weak too and everyone is human anyway, with insecurities, fears, etc, and dunno (I can imagine a bit), how I'd react if truly 100% serious things would happen to me. I'm kind of an undead already xD But we're supposed to try to be the best version of ourselves and keep trying until everything is actually finished. Then again, what's life if you can't enjoy it...? I get that too. Even felt it several times/2decades, and continue to, in a sense. Dunno, maybe we shouldn't have been taught to have all these expectations from (modern) life, and some luxuries and advancements got to our brain, as many things do. Maybe even them are a bit selfish/greedy (well, ofc the capitalistic are, but I'm referring to the rest too, the ones that are normal and not exactly induced/planted in us and our brains). But what truly grinds my gears (because it's only being recycled and gains popularity) is that we say we're to blame and the ones having power are only managing to control everything because we enable them (win win for them, yay), and while true to an extent ofc, guess which ppl are ready to accept the blame and guilt; it's *never* the exploiters and cruel and cynical, etc. I was one of them too, would blame myself for everything (my mom and society sure helped in that, and continue to keep it up but I'm realistic and not a god or Superman, to have literally all the burden of saving the world and being blamed because I can't 🙄 just because I criticize behaviors and mentalities and selfish ppl who understand they're part of the problem, instinctively lash out at me) but quickly realized it's a trap. Most don't tho, from what I hear. A similar conversation took place on the radio last night, and I sent a couple emails to explain these but ofc they read only 50% and they even change the meaning of what I say, pfft. And no, I didn't even write too much because I knew it would be an obstacle due to the broadcast having a time limit obviously, lol. Anyway, not sure if you got the context to fully get this last part. Btw, you've always reminded me of the host of that radio broadcast, his good traits that is. I hope when I use Twitter and contact him he'll prove to be as logical as I thought he is, and will understand what I'm about...

So what if it isn't as violent as you'd want it? I mean, I, too, miss the spookier/more hostile and otherworldly vibes&places and don't really like most/half the updated models (especially not the hunter pet ones) and the heavier but too "disneyfied" graphics, but yh. The real problem is elsewhere anyway... In those who manage the game and in a part of the playerbase that wants the game to be exactly as they'd like it (grindy, mostly; and devs think/pretend they deliver that wish by making it tedious and complex and by hiding almost everything remotely worthwhile behind grind walls... pfft). Or else they punish WoW by playing another rich guy's game xD such revolution, much wow(?!)

BFA is such a beautiful expansion, both musically and graphically. It’s a shame that the gameplay is so terrible.

HATED this zone. Hated that the story element ends halfway and you're just left with a bunch of Quilboar stuff. Out of five characters, I skipped it on four as much as I could. But this suite is right up there with the Totems of Grizzlemaw (Grizzly Hills)
