Mekkah and pitfalls, name a more iconic duo Okay actual addenda to the mini-pitfalls: - 4th round pick: Mekkah and I have already discussed this, but I personally would've picked Lyn over Ross because I'm comfortable with using her to help train Florina. Mekkah isn't, however, but I think that the Lyn-Florina combo is notable enough to be worth pointing out. Lyn can be tough to use in this role because she's frail and a mistake can lead to a game over. For the record, my FE7 PB in a mock draft race is 2:01:52 with only Florina and Lyn (and sub 2 hours is possible if I didn't choke at the very end of that run). - Crazed Beast drop: I usually trade all of Florina's weapons to Hector so she doesn't counterkill the cavs and suffer from success, and she doesn't get weighed down either. Or you bring along a Slim Lance to get an extra 6 avoid. - Ross vs. Caellach: I just double checked Ross's combat preview against Caellach and realized that Ross's HP wasn't at max. If you had brought Tethys further up, Ross could've healed to max HP and straight up attacked Caellach while Tomahawk was equipped, surviving Tomahawk, Silver Axe, and the Javelin pegasus knight. This would've given you 2 more Swordslayer attacks on Caellach. Here's one other small mistake I had noticed during the race: In FE7 chapter 31, you correctly deployed Dorcas to rescue an NPC knight to avoid wasting time. But what you should do is rescue one of those knights on the left immediately so they never fight at all, instead of rescuing them after they're already poisoned. I think you had forgotten to put a Pure Water on Hector so you used Dorcas to trade it over, but you could've taken the Pure Water directly from Lyn or Merlinus.

WRT 4th pick: I had a whole section planned out on the units I could have picked instead of Ross but I didn't want this to become too much of a metagame/pick order explanation, so I decided to scrap it. I definitely did consider Lyn, but without elaborate planning ahead of time on my part (or elaborate stealing of dondons planning) I don't think it would have been a net time save. But ultimately, for the best time possible with a realistic draft setup, Lyn is probably the best pick. Crazed Beast's trading of the weapons or using a Slim Lance was mentioned in the vid near the very end of that part. Me not buying a Slim Lance in Ch16 was another thing I should've planned better, because it almost always comes in handy. It goes on the list with the support building. With Ross vs Caellach that does sound like a good idea! I think I might've forgotten to bring a Vulnerary (only had an Elixir) but at that point I could spare the Elixir use for sure. I would've had to do some math to make sure he survived and I might've been too afraid to make an error to actually chance it. And yeah, that's at least the third time I forget to put a Pure Water on Hector at the start of Sands of Time. I think it's because there's too many things I want on him: Wolf Beil, Armorslayer, Pure Water, Elixir, Tomahawk/Hand Axe, Antitoxin. He definitely doesn't need all of that though, and either way someone can trade him one of those things after he's used a Pure Water. I wasn't sure if Hector had enough movement to kill the Druid on turn 2 if he went straight to Merlinus, but I definitely could've just sent Dorcas left, and make Eliwood/Lyn do any necessary trading.

The stream was so fun to watch! I think your advice on looking at past performance objectively and seeing what you could've done better is great advice. Admitedly that is something I still have to work on. I agree with your overall assessment, for all the things you pointed out it seemed like a VERY smooth run of both games. It was also nice to see myself cameo in this video :P. I hope you do more of these and maybe more link arena too, your colab content is always very enjoyable. Glad I was there to see it all live for once.

I can see FE5 being absolutely hilarious in that setting because of mechanical things like movement stars and growths. I played FE5 reverse recruitment recently and Osian got 11 move by the late game. In vanilla FE5 I had a 12 move Finn at one point as well.

The Warrior Dorcas is the best laptop fan in existance for the seventh gen model. Some people insist on the Bartre model, don't listen to them, you don't need the increased maximum ventilation, you need the short term venting of sensitive components. The Bartre's comparability with the Karla driver system is pointless, Karla drivers are horrible, being compatible with them is so not worth noting that I'd count it as a flaw. Now, it IS true that the Gietz model exists, and comes pre-assembled, but good luck finding one, they're a pain in the ass to get, and I can't see you getting one in under, y'know, 20 or so weeks, ASSUMING you already know some people, by which point your laptop is already burned up. Just get the Dorcas Warrior. It's a bit loud, but it keeps the rig cool, and that's what you really want the fan for anyways, right?
