MEKONG DELTA VIETNAM | IS IT WORTH VISITING IN 2022?
On 2nd day in Vietnam, We booked a day tour to Mekong Delta (Mekong river) from Ho Chi Minh City and it costed us around 300000 VND per person. It was 9-10 hours tour. Bus picked us from hotel at 07:30 AM and it was 70-80 km till My Tho city and took us 2 hours to reach through paddy rice fields and coconut plantation farms.
We Visited the Mekong Delta, and the My Tho and Ben Tre islands. Cruised along the river and walked around local fruit gardens and immersed ourselves in local culture with a stop at the Vinh Trang temple.
After reaching My tho city, motor boat took us to Unicorn island and took a short trek to fruit garden, enjoyed natural honey tea at bee farm, and enjoyed local vietnamese traditional music show along with having local fruits.
Then a rowing boat took us to the canals surrounded by coconut trees.
After that, we went to Ben Tre province via a smaller boat through river canals and stopped at a Vietnamese restaurant midway for lunch. We visited crocodile farms there. After that we returend to Ho Chi Minh city by same bus.
