She lived a life of partying and got nothing to show for being in the most successful girl group of all time. She's brought this on herself and now trying to be a victim. Just give the other girls a call and a reunion will inject some much needed cash

She really is the most Honest and down to earth of All the Spice girls... She's Totally up front... it's easy to see why she is on TV as much as she is, I watched her life story on TV with her Daughter, basically how and where she grew up etc...Her daughter was Shocked to see Where she Came from and found out that like many people we were brought up well, but not the kind of life style her Daughter thought, her Children have been lucky!!! I think she's incredibly a nice woman, doing what she's needed to put food on the table... I think she should be Extremely Proud of herself, it's not easy being a single parent with a n abusive partner...

It just goes to show, if it can happen to Scary, it can happen to any woman. And I don’t mean she was superior. But she was very confident and independent, very financially secure, and a single parent with the access and reach to wider support. But she still experiences it as if she had nothing, and that’s where the psychological manipulation leads, to you feeling powerless. BUT truth be told, what you have in that relationship is nothing. What you’ll gain out of it, it’ll be a little bit of something.

Really feel for Mel and hope she continues to grow stronger as time goes on. Dr Ramani’s KZbin channel on narcissism is incredible. She’s just done a great interview with Steven Bartlett which gives a good overview for those new to the subject. I didn’t realise how little I knew about the scope of narcissism until last year. It’s potentially 1 in 6 people who have these types of toxic personalities.

@@jKDC1987 i was abused by a one who just happened to be created by my mother who allowed him to get away with it. still totally disagree. you have to get to know them at least a little bit to know if they are one and that is not a mile off. it's not something that's like a hair style or anything you can see, it's something you have to take notice of and learn from them. to say you can spot them a mile off is completely unrealistic, it makes it sound so easy to avoid all contact with them and it REALLY is not. one final point, i think you are forgetting that these low lives don't show themselves as narcs straight away, so NO you cannot spot them a mile off.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks "That would never happen to me. I wouldn't let it." Do you think Mel B was the type to 'let it?' That's not the way abuse works. It can happen to 👏an 👏y👏one. It does not discriminate. If it were easy to avoid or escape, these statistics wouldn't exist. Forget what you think you know and what you think you'd do 'cause I thought that too- until it happened to me. The best defence is education, in combination with maintaining strong support networks. Get educated, stay connected, follow your intuition.

If Loose Women read this, if they can advocate for 1. Change in the justice system. The divorce system does not look at abuse, I believe the two systems should be joined up. 2. Coercive control is a crime but police hardly ever enforce it. 3. Men can completely ruin a woman's finances. Mortgage companies, banks, and the credit system need to give women grace if she can prove it was her partner that created the bad damage. Otherwise the abuse and trauma continues on for years.

The reason that countless publishers didn't want to publish her book had nothing to do w her talking about coping strategies such as addiction.. the reason was because she infact dismissed ALL charges against her ex husband.. not the courts, HER.. so everything she says and writes is pure unsubstantiated speculation. I don't believe Mel.. and I think that it's very important that celebrities claims are held to some kind of standard of proof.. or infact they could be getting away (and financially profiteering through books and interviews) w infact being the biggest abusers of them all.

That was all part of his manipulation of her in the relationship. This was a part of the divorce proceedings that he still wanted to totally humiliate her- she had to watch all of his films of herself when she was 'self medicating' and he was topping that up as well. Having listened to the book, she is so honest about the situations she was put in by delafonte and what he did to traumatise her children as well so that not only she has PTSD but some of her children as well because of him and what he did to her. Don't be too judgemental because until you have been there you don't know what you'll do to survive. It is a really powerful book, I recommend you listen to it or read it yourself.

A load of nonsense. Just someone who had it all and blew it. Like those lotto winners who end up back in a council flat, she was reckless and now pushing this victim narrative . That's all she can do. she's reduced to being on tv with fellow bitter post menopausal divorcees because they're the only ones who will probably listen and promote her book, which will be in Poundland and all charity shops the next day. She has both nothing worthwhile or new to say and is a poor role model. She should been responsible instead of a hedonistic lifestyle .
