Mr. Blount is a real man. I’ve met him several times in civilian life. He is gracious and a true gentleman. His charity work is ongoing and life changing for so many.

That man was a complete beast. That 76 team was amazing. 28 points in 9 games and I think 13 of them were in one game if I'm not mistaken. If they were at full strength in the AFC championship they probably would've beat the Raiders and they would've rolled the Vikings in the super bowl just like Oakland did that year. Best defense I've ever seen.

The interviewer is _really_ good! Knowledgeable, well-prepared, personable, and he lets Mel talk. Bravo!

Was lucky enough to meet mel at his house courtesy of my friend ronnie snyder. who, along with his brothers, own a gas ststion that mel brought his car to to get serviced. Mel was great, told him I used to yell out my window to him that he was the man and he'd wave to me during '79 camp at st. vincent. GOAT!

I got so much enjoyment watching you and the Steelers on de-fence scoring too! Worthy of special note is Mel Blount being a great human being by contribution to society. Maybe because I was a full orphan raised in an orphanage. Thanks so much for your service and contributions to the Pittsburgh community. Such a positive and giving person is a credit ip you and your entire great family.

Love all of the original STEEL CURTAIN that started the Legacy... Remember the Stickum...

Every time I hear "stickum" I think about Lester Hayes. Remember him? 😀😀😀😀 I love Mel Blount and listening to him speak. That defense was crazy back then!!!!
@Nvhawn4 жыл бұрын
Wow!! Lester Hayes I can remember watching him in a game and he had so much stickum that his hands were covered in grass, he could literally just put his hand in the air and the ball would just stick to it.😂😂😂
@notmebutyou83504 жыл бұрын
@@Nvhawn Yep. He sure would just raise his hand up and BOOM! interception! That's why the NFL outlawed it!! 😂😂😂😂

Another one of my heroes. The Steelers need to retire his number as a sign of respect. I remember the 1980 fall season, Uncle Age came calling and the team started showing signs of weakness. It was like they aged 10 years in one summer.
