Mel Gibson is of Irish descendancy on both his parents sides so it's just strange how they let him get away with masquerading as a Scotsman, why didn't Leno mock gibson for not having a bridge in a bridge battle reenactment? BTW Gibson flew to Scotland in 2019 to celebrate the 24th anniversary of Braveheart which is pretty strange as if he had advance knowledge of the covid attack so knew he couldn't make it the next year, have you heard of celebrities celebrating 24th anniversaries before? it's a new one to me anyway.

Gibson does have a small percentage of Scottish blood, and Gibson is a Sept of the Buchanan clan, which he is wearing their hunting tartan here. Irish descendancy is still Gaelic descendency, just like the highland scots, so they are very closely related.

@@CelticsandVolsfan34 Well this actual Scot wishes he would just get lost after stirring up so much trouble in my country then adding insult to injury by bragging about it to newspapers, we don't want any part of Irelands neverending arguments, weird how the Gibsons father and son couldn't shake it off and just be Americans as they were born there after all, must be just one rung above those rogue opportunist immigrant families who refuse to assimilate like the ones who refuse to learn English then sell block votes to democrats.

William lead the Scottish to victory at Bannockburn! William was betrayed & defeated at Falkirk! He was betrayed again and captured by the English & took to London where he was Hanged drawn & quartered These are the main points of events surrounding William Wallace & are all in the movie Obviously theres alot of bullshit in the movie... But no film based on true events is 100% accurate That why it says at the beginning "based on true events"... & NOT "100% accurate story of William Wallace"
