I knew a prominent priest in our diocese years ago, who was invited to Vat11 Council meeting and being young he said a lot flew over his head. He also returned saying he would never say the NO Mass again and he didn't. He spoke out about Vat11 errors and was eventually tossed out of the diocese. He moved about doing the best he could and continued saying latin masses in secret in homes and retreat places. Only those seriously interested in latin mass were invited to attend which I did. He told me he went to see Mel Gibson and his Chapel in California (I believe it was) and Mel G actually bought him a pair of shoes! I knew if this priest was open to Mel G, and they saw eye to eye, that both were in right thinking. I only attend latin mass since that time and miss Fr S who was very gifted and a loss for the Church in our diocese - I say a loss, but really I think he is a Saint! RIP Fr S. Pax Christi!

Here’s a fine example of reverse psychology backfiring in Francis’ face. In this time of great confusion which our Lady of Fatima warned us about, while I try to be informed, I will just stick to going to Mass, Confession, and receiving Communion. I'm not a scholar, but I know I have the sensus fidelium. I definitely sense that Pope Francis is questionable and are very much with in agreement with many things Archbishop Vigano has said, but I'm going to leave this to our Lord and pray about it. I have complete faith that the Holy Ghost will lead those of us that truly seek the TRUE Catholic faith and live the faith. So far I believe the Holy Ghost is with us because, my family and I were led to the Latin Mass back in 2020 and we have never looked back. My faith has deepened and I've seen small miracles. If we just stick to those foundational truths of our faith, I believe we will get through this fine by the Grace of our Lord. He will NOT forsake His flock and our Blessed Mother will always help us! I do feel we are going to go through a big chastisement soon and it will test our faith immensely! Just keep saying those daily Rosaries and attend those First Fridays and First Saturdays Masses of the month, pray, fast, and offer penance for Grace! Trust in the Lord! I have a med condition where I get heat exhaustion around 70-74° with fainting & vomiting depending on how packed the building is, humidity etc. I can get heat rash around 65-70° depending again on the humidity. God protected me. Pls pray it get fixed quickly & I'm still well enough. Thnx

I really like mel gibson and he has been very outspoken last few years on church politics and the traditional mass. His letter to Vigano is on point and his support is appreciated. My difficulty is none of what he is saying matching his actions in his personal life. He divorced his wife of 26 years and mother of 8 children in 2006/2009. Dated a russian after that. Then in 2014 dated a much younger woman and now has a child with her out of wedlock. Not very Catholic. I just dont get it. Prayers all around. Love Mel and want him to get to heaven.

You don't get to offer Mass in your home because you feel like it and because no other Catholic Church suits you. The church Gibson erected is not associated with and diocese, therefore he is outside the protection of the church and therefore does not ironically stand with tradition, just the tradition he decides. This behavior is indicative of Protestantism. I would know as I left the Catholic Church for 25 years and wandered around in Protestant Churches of all kinds, and when they didn't like some preacher or pastor they would go somewhere else or start their OWN little home church or whatever in some building.
