Alcoholics and people addicted to drugs are like that. My ex wife was wonderful until she became addicted to opioids. Mel Gibson's anti-Jew rant, which he denies but is one tape, very similar to Trump btw....but it took Gibson getting drunk to say what Marlon Brando said sober "Jews control Hollywood." And they have ever since Chaplin. And might I add, maybe that's why Hollywood is as successful as it is. I’ve always liked Gibson, he’s been demonised somewhat by Hollywood, but he’s someone who knows his history, and he’s a very intelligent guy. He’s made some mistakes in life as a lot of us have. Best you can do is own it, stare it down and be gracious to yourself and particularly to others. Mel checked all those boxes and then some. I admire his character and envy his talent. I will never forget watching his father, here in Aus, win two game shows back in the day. He was brilliant! I think they actually created the second game show so that Mel’s father could be on the first show. Hilton I feel his name was or maybe Hinton. The best I had ever seen and I watched them all.
