You still can in 27 US states. Source: UK documentary on US forced child marriage. 1950's singer Jerry Lee Lewis married his Cousin when she was 13, with the full approval of her parents. He was 33. When UK journalists found out his tour there was cancelled .

I'm not sure he'd actually have fun, though. It's the same reason David Mitchell won't do Taskmaster - he'd just get stressed out and have a miserable time and he wouldn't be funny. He seems to do best when he's out of his comfort zone, yes, but also mostly in control of the situation.

He seems to cycle between being this gauntish look and his usual well self saw him looking really thin a few years back and was worried but saw him a year after at another gig and he was very healthy I think it's his diabetes and metabolism possibly I can't remeber but heard him mention on a podcast before it's quite hard for him to gain or sustain his weight

Sue Perkins is another comedian/TV presenter who has worked with Mel as a comedy double-act for a long time to the point that people always confuse their names with eachother. Lou was basically teasing Mel about this by saying she thought her last name was Perkins.

4:20 I’m usually against doing stuff like this because it’s gross, but when you get a customer who treats you like a second class citizen and is absolutely vile and says they’re not going to tip you but you were delightful, then yeah, snot and sneeze into their food all you want. This is why you shouldn’t be rude to the waitstaff. But unfortunately there are a ton of people who are garbage and were never taught manners. You really learn how ugly people can be when you work in the service industry.

That rugby story was the second most cringe-inducing thing I’ve ever encountered. The first is the episode “Scott’s Tots.” Still haven’t finished that because I can’t. But this is the second. I’d seen a spoof of that same plot. But I can’t believe that has actually happened. I’m broken for the rest of the night. That literally takes the cake. I actually was eating cake. That story made me stop. And Lou’s joke was hilarious, but I love how they played the perfectly-tempered shame.
