I really don't get this show. It embodies everything I'm not interested in. Girl-talk, gossip, relationships, scandal, social media... Yuk. It's as if some right-on TV producer has tried to create a pointedly woman-friendly comedy programme to compete with all of the successful supposedly 'male dominated' ones like The Unbelievable Truth, Q.I., Would I Lie To You?, or 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown. Those shows are great because they have men and women sharing equal status, talking equal amounts of bollocks and having a laugh at themselves. (Very important, that last bit.) This programme is just spiteful. It tries too hard to wring humour out of misery. It has an agenda that's 90% placard waving and 10% content. Ooh, let's feature lots of drink and drugs references and focus on betrayal! That'll get people involved! Not me it won't. It's like today's superhero films that try to foist female protagonists on us; they don't work because they're too busy ticking boxes and ramming gender politics down our throats. Sod all the militant diversity and empowerment crap - just make a decent action movie. I hate being patronised. This show is the TV equivalent of Girlie Ghostbusters. Me no like.☹️
