@MiamiU4Ай бұрын
Overrated ?! Yeah you’re definitely just going for a hot take now 🤣 he’s one of the most consistent RBs of all time, just so happened that most of his prime was spent on a 49ers team that didn’t even finish above .500 until 2011. I watched the majority of frank gore’s career and even though it wasn’t pretty or flashy, he was dependable. And considering his style would typically result in a short shelf life, the fact that he was still a 1k yard rusher well past age 30 is a testament to him being that old school back
@blackwokenotliberalwoke306111 күн бұрын
You must don't realize to have that type of longevity at a position that's difficult to have longevity is impressive. And the longevity of Frank Gore is unprecedented, legendary, and historic when you consider the career length of an NFL RB is 2.57 years as of September 2021. He rushed for over 1K in 9 of his 16 seasons, which is remarkably consistent, while maintaining a 4.3 yards per carry average for his career.

I’d bet majority of those guys would trade in their peak 2-3 years for the consistency and longevity that Gore had. Let’s take a Cj2k (who is actually one of my favorites) or Marshawn lynch for example, both were considered “top backs” at one point in their career but were only at that level for a couple of seasons and were otherwise pretty pedestrian
