Broderick Jones is a very good pass protector when playing on the left side. He was out of position at RT with the Steelers. At Georgia where he played LT exclusively, I don't believe he gave up one sack in his entire senior season. If Fautanu can play RT (like he says), it would be beneficial to move Broderick back to LT, where he excels in both run blocking AND pass protection. Former Steeler Kevin Dotson was also being used out of position at LG with the Steelers. Since joining the Rams, he has been playing back at RG, and his PFF score rose 20 points. He recently received a very big contract.

I think Troy is the better football player and will go on to be our best offensive linemen but Jones might be better at left tackle or at least a star at left tackle and not as much on the right side but I think Zach and McCormick will be the glue that holds one of the best offensive lines in football

Fautanu should be fine at RT, he played LT for a left handed QB so it's not much of a stretch to think switching to RT will be fairly easy for him with a right handed QB.

It’s not about what arm Fautanu’s quarterback threw with, as many have commented on, it’s about the footwork, pass set, communication with the guard beside you, and where your eyes go to instinctively after a couple of thousand snaps. I’m sure they’ll try both on the left side in training camp before making a choice. No reason not to have Troy on the left side, but we’ll have to see how it shakes out. I believe he’s better in pass pro of the two so don’t be surprised if he sticks on the left side.

This draft class is better then last year's in my opinion. Fautanu will play right tackle. I know he played left tackle in college but his quarterback was left handed so technically he protected the front side and both steelers qb's are right handed. Frazier is my favorite pick of the whole draft. Think he will become pro bowl center. Payton wilson was best linebacker in college football last season. Barring injuries which is a concern, he will be a future starter

Still feel the Steelers messed up in the late 3rd and 4ht round by not drafting a CB. Still on the board was Iowa St. CB - TJ Tampa (Drafted by Ravens). They chose depth over starter.

Broderick prefers Right Tackle anyways but played left tackle last year, so he will be placed where he feels most comfortable on the right side so it works out great.

It'll be interesting who the tackles will be. Not quite ready to assume that Dan Moore Jr. won't be the best option right now, he wasn't bad last year. I like both the first round tackles and it doesn't matter to me who is on the left or right, but Penix is a left handed QB, so why would wash, (college ball), have Fauntanu on the left side instead of his blind side, (where the best pass blocker should be) ?

For years they have been rebuilding this offense and to have the main guys is great plus we have fill ins. It will be great because we finaly have that offensive line plus we add in our tight end room as our duo running backs will be great and possibaly allow us to get past that first round is the playoffs which is what we want.

Penix is a lefty so Fautanu never blocked the blind side, many commentators mentioned this on draft night tying him to the right side . Also, Kahn has said that Jones was going to LT because its what they drafted him for. I think the idea is to transition Fauntano to the right. But who knows? Latrobe will decide.

I think drafts should have two grades because you can do everything right and guys just don't pan out. Which means one grade should be for how the draft was managed, efficiency, no stupid trades or wasted picks on risky or project players and balancing needs versus value. I think the Steelers did a great job managing the draft this year, A. It is too early to grade the actual results, we'll have to see.

For a tackle to choose a side is not about the throwing hand of the QB but the competency of the athlete in moving. As many have mentioned that the Steelers screwed up by putting Dotson on the LG when he was more competent as a RG. Hope this time they can put the square peg into the square hole.

Last year, after Broderick Jones started in the oline...the Steelers were 2nd in the NFL in rushing yards behind the Ravens. Broderick will be the LT. Only makes sense. That’s where he played when we drafted him. He’s naturally better at LT than RT. Not to mention. Troy played LT for a left handed QB. Meaning he played RT essentially for a right handed QB. This doesn’t need to be overthinked.

Am I the only Steeler nation fan who is excited about speed burner Quez Watkins? Quez can do some damage on the right team. If Russel plays well and you put a burner like Quez in the slot or run him on some go routes he can do some damage with that speed. I am excited about the new linebacker. If he stays healthy he can do some damage. And I FINALLY think they fixed the porous interior of that line. Last year defenders were just blowing through that line. And Patrick QUEEN!!! Do ANY of you guys realize how good the linebackers are now with QUEEN!!! Now you have inside and outside probowl talent at linebacker, so who do teams double now? I am excited. Steelers, PLEASE trade for a stud X receiver and please next year draft a shutdown corner and a new RB. Najee averages under 4 -yards a carry. If he cannot get that up NOW with the new line? Jaylen averages more and he was undrafted! Najee was a first round pick!!! We are a CB, upgraded RB, X-receiver and new young QB away from a dynasty. Yes, it is a lot of holes but better then when we needed an o-line AND linebacker help too. We still should be good enough (IF Russell can get it together) to make the playoffs and then some.
