The day after I watched this video, I went to an exhibition in which there was a big reproduction of the Ebstorf Map (which I'd never come across until the night before), and I was able to impress my father by pointing out various details that you'd mentioned. Your videos are not just useful for relaxing, but also for helping me look like I know about medieval cartography!

Know this from a Map Men episode; the word orientate literally means to put east at the top, hence the name 'the Orient' for Asia because the east (Asia) was literally put at the top of maps.

Another interesting topic. While the Templars are prominent in Assassin's Creed, my first contact with them was in a book called 'Pan Samochodzik i Templariusze' which is a Polish novel for kids/youth. The story is about looking for a Templar treasure that was allegedly given to the Teutonic Order when the Templar Order was disbanded and hidden somewhere in their holdings in East Prussia.

That was fascinating, thank you. I've been to the Grandmaster's Palace in Valletta (before they started the restoration work) and it was very cool. There is so much history in Malta in general. If you haven't been already, you should definitely put it on your list.

I know this incredible history. For king Philippe Le Beau the templars were too rich and powerful and a threat to the country. Therefore on 13th October he ordered to kill them. That’s why still Friday the 13th brings bad luck or in a hotel there is never a room 13
