Melanie is artistic as hell and yes the whole crybaby album is about her child hood and each song has its own meaning and the k-12 album is when she's in school and the struggles as a preteen / teenager and somehow cry baby dies after the k-12 album and now it's the portals album she's mind blowing can't wait for you to react to all her albums

She is such a talented writer but song was definitely more on the nose than others. It is about her boyfriend who used to abuse her.

Melanie said that is from a boy that he work on musics and he learn how to write them and he wants to teach melanie nc he thought he was the only one smart to write songs

I think you'll just love her latest stuff most because she's just gotten better over the years. I personally prefer the maturity of the her recent music over her older stuff. I'm so glad she got out of the old Cry Baby image.

i hope that last part wasnt shade. ofc shes gonna keep evolving along w her voice and music. i can see the real long term fans loved her through her beautiful journey.
@KartalaBreed Жыл бұрын
@@thegirlsavior no, it's not shade. Cry baby is a restrictive image which limited what she could do lyrically and musically. That can be really good at first to guide her writing, but if held onto for too long it can stunt creative growth. It was also kind of immature in some ways, literally with the character being a doll-like child, but also musically since her writing and production was consistently guided into a nursery rhyme format. Crybaby was a fun concept, but I'm glad it ended so she could try new things.

@@KartalaBreed Yes this! I became a fan when I was 15, when crybaby came out. Her lyrics were really good, but I would be lying when I said that me thinking her lyrics in crybaby were deep and superior to other songwriters if they weren't nostalgic to me. In my opinion her themes and messages were better than the lyrics back then.

The book page for alphabet boy says “ She cried until she then could see that he wasn’t worthy of all her love and ABC’s so she spelt fuck you in 1 2 3 “ The song is about a boy that keeps teaching her how to do things because he thinks she does it incorrectly / he thinks he js more educated then her

It was about her abusive boyfriend. The whole album is about traumatic experiences. Carousel, in my view, is so sloq and dreadful because thats how the relationship/crush felt
