There's a back story you missed... there's actually a storybook that comes with the album and it helps tie all the songs together from Crybaby up to Mad Hatter.. you should look it up online or even on KZbin. If you react to the deluxe tracks (Play date, Teddy bear, Cake) keep in mind there's no music video for them (except a lyrics video for Play Date). If you decide to go straight to her second album I recommend you skip the songs and just watch the movie instead (all the MVs are part of the movie). You can find it on Melanie's KZbin page as K-12 (The Film).
