As an Englishman I speak for 90% of my fellow countrymen (by that I mean the indigenous English) when I say I believe Israel has the right to exist and has the right to protect its people. Even living in London i speak with very few who side with Hamas, apart from the ultra left. Hamas brought this destruction onto Gaza and its people not Israel, and I have little sympathy for what has happened. As for the 10% who are against Israel. They are a small but very vocal minority of hard left activists. We see them every Saturday marching through London and screaming the same stupid slogans. Always the same faces; I've watched a few of these marches and have started to see that these are mostly the same people. Of this 10% I would estimate 6 % are those of the Islamic faith who chose to settle in the UK, yet are pushing their own agenda onto the rest of us. We have seen from the recent election the 'Independent' candidates who are little more than far right Islamists. But we now know where these areas of Islamism are located; Birmingham, Blackburn, Leicester and a few other areas. Important to know this as we move into the future.

I stopped taking any mention of Islamophobia seriously, once I realised where the term came from. Antisemitism doesn't mean criticising the religion of Judaism, it's an irrational hatred of Jews based on rumours, misinterpretation and lies. So I realised that the right term of what to be against, regarding Islam, is Anti Muslim Hate. That we can agree is bad. No one should ever be hated or attacked simply because of the faith/culture they practice. Then the world should be encouraging and supporting the would be reformers of said religion in their work.

Melanie is great, but she is also wrong on one point: Marx didn't say that the capitalist class would consist of "oppressive Jews". That is downright wrong. Marx was not an antisemite. And by the way, the groundbreaking theory that antisemitism is not just another kind of racism was put forward by a (Jewish) Marxist - Moishe Postone (1943-2018), who was an avid fighter against antisemitism in the left.

Was Karl Marx anti semitic? His daughter Eleanor was interested in her Jewish heritage. Marx made "racist jokes" of his Son in law but was happy to have him as family. Nicknames were part of the Marx family make up and he was always having in jokes with Engles about his own Jewishness. Did he really say Jews started Capitalism?

If I were to say that people sharing my ancestry or close to it had to remain a supermajoity in our ancestral homelands in the UK in order for us to enjoy national rights I would be called a white supramacist by the same people MP is talking about. My view would be declared evil and ilegiitimate. There is a man called Sam Melia who as I write this is sitting in Leeds prison for producing stickers with legal content intended to draw our peoples' attention to our national rights in this context. He has been denied contact with his children on the grounds of his political opinions. Consider the fact that this is going on witbout any Nakba-like narrative. It hasn't happened yet and those drawing attention to it are only asking that a certain tendency is stopped by politcal and legal means before it happens.

If Jews have their ethnostate in Israel, then indigenous Europeans deserve the same in their ancestral homelands. It's hypocritical to advocate Jewish nationalism in the Middle East whilst promoting civic multi-ethnic 'nationalism' in Europe.

It isn't an ethnostate. A quarter of the population is Arab. Japan, Korea, and a number of Arab Muslim countries could be considered ethnostates. We advocate for Israel because of milennia-long Jew hatred and persecution of this tiny minority group.
