This!! I have been following since you found out, and were waiting to have baby. I admire you and your calm perspective on everything. You have taught me to stop and take a breathe and to be thankful for every moment. Good, bad, beautiful and ugly. we all face hard times, but the way we receive and handle those times are what really matter. And to just go with the flow. Sometimes things are out of our control.. but we can control how we handle it. Always sending the best vibes your way.. praying for you guys..

Hi Melanie, prayers for you and your family❤️ I got married in 2005 and in 2006 I had melanoma stage 4 skin cancer on my right breast. I 6:36 did an Chinese herb called Sweet Annie. I did have surgery on my breast to remove the cancer cells and I had 2 lymph nodes removed under my right armpit as well. I was 28 at the time and now 45 cancer free praise God! I ate completely clean. No sugars. To this day I eat very clean. I actually am eating a more animal based diet. I just gave it all to God and two months later, I found out I was pregnant with my daughter and she’s now 16. I know this trial seems so far from being over, but I had so much peace honestly going through it and I trusted in God completely. Hugs for you during this journey if your life and again your in my prayers❤ God bless 🙏

Thank you so much for sharing this! I will look into Sweet Annie. I am so glad to hear you are cancer free. Also, thank you for sharing about your diet. We have one integrative med doctor recommending a modified keto diet, then another source saying go plant based. Don’t think plant based is something for us, at least fully f so glad to know you’re eating meant and doing well!!
Sweetie I loved your comment and it was as if I was reading how I felt as well during my cancer journey. I had full faith in god and the power of prayers I had going up for me and I’m grateful to be 2yrs in remission from stage 2 triple negative breast cancer 💕

It’s good to see you. Thank you for the updates. Do them only if you’re up to it. Spend your time with baby girl and hubby. It’s hard to loose your hair, it’s a girl thing and it does grow back fairly quick with a twist. Sometimes a color change, curls,waves, straight. There may be no change. She’s tiny at 5lbs. It’s fun to snuggle them especially when they’re so little. For me I loved it when they were in that weight range. Take good care, let us know if you need anything. Positive thoughts, prayers and love your way. Your emotions may be like a roller coaster, it’s ok to be good and pissed off, cry, yell whatever it is.

I usually don’t give advice on dietary supplements to people with cancer because I know they often get overwhelmed by people giving suggestions, but since you asked, I know Suzanne Somers survived about 2 decades after her first diagnosis. I heard her say the main thing she started with was Glutathione. She didn’t do traditional therapy. I am for traditional therapy too because everyone is different. I bought some of this supplement In capsule form from Amazon. I just started taking them more as a preventative for myself. Other things I’ve heard of is Apricot seeds which should be followed by the exact dose since too much can be toxic. But I know a lot of people take that with good results. There’s Turkey Tail mushrooms. I take those in capsule form. and there’s juicing celery, juicing carrots and other vegetables. I’m sure others will be giving you lots of advice. I wish you the best of luck.
@melaniefostersnavely Жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing this! Apricot seed is one of the things we heard about too and got, but hadn’t known about Suzanne Somers or the Glutathione. I will look into that. We also bought a juicier, started with beet and carrots. Working my way up to the celery.

I used a light therapy device on my mouth sores and they healed up far faster and hurt less. Make sure the device is a cold light therapy device. I went to my dentist before i bought my home device and he treated my mouth sores for me, that way I could see if it helped (they were pretty expensive 14 years ago). You could call your dentist, you should be seeing one now anyway because of how hard chemo is on your mouth and teeth. You can also ask for a referral for a nutritionist... I did, and am still , mostly, following her plan. Sending you positive vibes!
@melaniefostersnavely Жыл бұрын
I have been looking into light therapy, but yes, still very expensive! Thank you for all of this advice. I do need to schedule an appointment with my dentist. I can only imagine how my teeth are. My mouth still doesn't feel right and it makes my teeth feel constantly fuzzy.

Your eye looks so much better, i honestly wouldn't say that if I didn't honestly sees it. You've been in my family's prayers, and that's alot of people! 😊 You and I have never met, but just as the rest of these good hearts who are praying for you, we feel compassion and love for you and your family. I've started to follow several men and women who are fighting for their lives just as you are, I've grown to feel a love and respect for everyone doing the same thing I am, praying for those who really need extra love and prayers. I believe in Angels and miracles. In my family there have been many family members who have fought cancer, some are still with us, others are in heaven, but i know they're still with us. I believe with all of my heart in Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven? The channels on KZbin, that have been put together and shared for such a great cause are miracles, if everyone in the world were taking some of their time each week to reach out to others who are struggling, I believe that would be a miracle too. We wouldn't have time to fight, and hate!! Thank you for allowing us the privilege of being a part of your cancer story, and thanks to the rest of you for your love and concern, and prayers, i know this is how miracles begin, lets keep them growing one prayer at a time!!! 🤗❤️🙏😇ALSO, thanks to the many many Dr and nurses who care for all of us!!

Melanie, I had squamas cell carcinoma in my right tonsil and 4 nodes were involved and I had surgery. I went through the same thing of having no taste for about 6 weeks. It should come back for you. The magic mouthwash did work for me because my throat was so painful, that I couldn't or wouldn't swallow. I always carry around the Biotene spray, as they tell me that I will mostly have it going forward. I didn't have chemo. I had radiation, which is the worst area you can have It, so I'm told. It looked like they torched my neck. I'm not trying to scare you, but to let you know what I went through and that you are not alone. I felt like no one else ever had it, but it was obviously not true. I wish you well and I'll keep you in my prayers. 🙏You have a sweet little baby to keep you busy! PS look for support groups; they help a lot

Thank you for sharing this with me. I am so sorry you had to fight cancer but I really appreciate you sharing all this with me. Radiation may be part of the plan as we see how it responds to chemo. I’m hoping it will respond enough that radiation won’t be needed but it’s helpful to be prepared to know what to expect. My throat is so severely try right now it feels like there’s cotton in my airways, I may need to be using the biotene more.

I'm really pleased to hear you're out patient already with your baby. I just wanted to point something out incase uou find it helpful. There's several different ways that magic mouthwash is compounded. I'm not positive exactly going by memory buy I think it's like 6 different ways...I know because I found this out recently when calling it in to a pharmacist for my patient. If you know a local " compounding pharmacy " I would ask your pharmacist to tell you the several choices that they can make up for you. Then your doctor can call it in to those specifications. Some formulations obviously work better for some than others. Bless you. Keep us updated and I will be praying for you 🙏

You are looking great ! After my second chemo treatment my hair just fell out but not completely bald but darn close. Its a girl thing & can be depressing. I now have a cute pixie with waves & a few curls. Chemo curls are real ! You hang in there & I am praying for you. Happy your sweet baby is doing well 💕

I keep hearing about the chemo curls, I’m looking forward to trying pixie look as it grows out. It was always something I wanted to try, guess now I’ll get the chance.

@@melaniefostersnavely Yes, your hair can come back as it was before or a different color, curls, waves. It will be a nice surprise for you! I love my hair short & decided to keep it this way. It's easier to take care of. Remember your hair will grow back...this is temporary. Sending good vibes & enjoy the weekend ✨️ 😊

Something I can truly recommend regarding mouthsores is Aloclair, there is both mouthwash and a gel you can use and it is the only thing that works for me. You are so brave and amazing, going through this.

Consider all suffering a blessing. For Christ suffered for us… we share in His suffering and we will share in His glory. Find your joy in Christ alone, and let that overflow onto your beautiful blessing baby girl. ❤

After the tingly feeling, it will be intense itching, and you'll be so glad to shave it to relieve the itching. Then it grows back pretty quickly.

Have you tried swishing with healios yet? My husband used that up until recently. He is recovering from tongue cancer and did chemo and radiation, plus surgery. Core Power 42 g of protein and the fairlife 30g are his favorite. Very soft scrambled eggs with cream and sprinkle of cheese. Lots of Powerade or Gatorade diluted with water. The magic mouthwash does help him, but not as much now that he is in the thick of radiation side effects. He is on hydrocodone 10mg / 325 mg acetaminophen every 6 hours, plus gabapentin and fentanyl patch when it got really bad. Head and neck cancer SUCKS. I’m so sorry you and my hubby are going through this. Praying for swift recovery for both of you!!

Thank you for sharing these tips with me. Radiation may be on the table for me so it’s helpful to know what to ask to have prescribed if needed. And thank you for the help in food ideas. I am so sorry your husband is having to fight as well! It definitely sucks. Thinking about you both.

Ice chips or ice blocks work on the same principal as the cold cap but you have to suck the ice at least a half hour before chemo infusion and pretty much the whole way through the treatment and then half hour to hour afterwards. Not easy and l feel for you ❤

Yeah it’s really hard to keep the constant going, but do the best I can!
