This was the best video I've seen on how to hold the clippers. One might think it's easy to hold the clippers at the right angle, but unfortunately it's easy to mess up. Thank you for this video, it was very helpful 😊

You are such a delight. I’m learning so much from you. Thank you! I have a Bichon Frise and I’m his groomer. Now, everything I’ve learned has been from YT. To be honest the very first channel I came across was Shu and Tree. Now, I’ve found you! I keep my Bichon in the round head style because it’s the easiest. I want so very much to groom him with the Pom Pom ears and teddy bear cut (Asian Fusion) but I can’t bring myself to make that first cut around the ears! We don’t have any master groomers in my area. Ive even thought about actually flying to Shu and Tree’s salon in S. Korea! I live in the southern states of America. If only I had someone to show me how to get that sweet teddy bear haircut. I would love for you to groom a Bichon Frise in a teddy bear cut with the sweetest Pom Pom ears, in a tutorial video. Of course, I would love to see your version of this style a step by step. I would gladly pay to learn this one style! It’s everything!! You are very talented and I appreciate you so very much. I also absolutely love your very proper accent! I could listen to you talk All. day. long! Thank you for all your videos! What a huge help! 🙏🏻♥️🐶🧴🛁

Hello, Thank you for your beautiful comment. I know what you mean, I am finding it hard to change my Bichon's head from a traditional cut to asian fusion, cause I love the round head sooo much. If I can find a bichon to do this on I will definitely do a video on it for you. I am so pleased my videos are helping you groom your bichon. P.S I love your profile photo, so cute 💖 Best Wishes Mel

@@MelanieNewmanSalonEssentials I have two Maltese, and one is 16. My vet wants me to groom the older one myself, to lesson the stress of leaving him at the groomer. I've got everything I need, but the hair between his paw pads scare me the most.

I take my Yorkie mix to a groomer. When I tried to chip her it looked awful 😞. Most of the time I do my own grooming on my Corgi. I'll do a sanitary trim and with a small Wahl clipper I'll clip the hair on and in-between her pads. This is at the end of her bath and she's tired. I fight with her to trim her nails. I've been using a clipper with a light. I do have a Dremel, but I haven't had a chance to desensitize her to it. It takes a very long time to get her dry. Even though I use a horse rake on her to get some of the water out and dry her with microfiber cloths. I use three. I have to use a human hairdryer on her. I comb her hair up to see her skin. I do this all over her coat until it's dry. Boy, does it take a long time to get her dry because of her double coat. Sometimes, she gets to go to the groomer! Especially now that it's winter. She only gets a bath once a month. I try to brush her out, but she's ready for bed by 8:00 PM. She gets her teeth brushed before she goes to bed. I'm clicker training her and she learns very quickly. She doesn't eat from a bowl. I use mental stimulation.

You sound like you are doing an amazing job with grooming your own dog. They can take a long time to dry as the coat can be very dense. 🩷
