Beautiful job Ethan. Thank you for sharing. I learned a lot and enjoyed the timeline comparison. The fourth view can be that Melchizedek is as he is in described in Gen 14 and Heb 7. He is not God, Jesus or Shem. He is "a preist of God Most High". The response of Abram and his clear explanation in the text is that he is mysterious, a type of Christ, high preist. Sometimes I find I move in to error when I search for answers because I am not comfortable with mystery. I truly enjoyed the video.

Completely agree. Someday we will meet him and find out. I don't mind mysteries from or about God at all. Hate to think how limited God would be if I could understand everything He has done or recorded for us.

Great explanation. I believe in the shem-ology explanation. I'm not 100% sure because I didn't have time to go back to researching it but some cultures start counting at 1 instead of 0. It also applies when counting in hundreds... 200 is 100... 300 is 200... so everything becomes 100 off... i dont know if this applies here. Just giving a theory. And the order or office high priesthood of melchizedek has no beginning or end... not the person. The priesthood has no beginning or end because it was started by God in the garden of eden.

A lot of the modern day Jewish rabbi's are vehemently in favor of this view because if Jesus is a priest after the order of Melchizedek as the book of Hebrews states, and Shem was Melchizedek, then Jesus was just a priest like other men. Hence it is used to undermine the deity of Christ and to deny that He was the Messiah.

It gives us alot of information of the ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK. Its GODS PROPHETS theres 5 of them, and iesus is not mentioned

What references am I missing? Doesn't seem like Melchizedek is mentioned anywhere in the Bible outside of Genesis 14, Psalm 110, and the Book of Hebrews. Maybe one could argue 2 Samuel 8:18, but I think it's difficult to directly tie that into Melchizedek. What are you referring to?
