edfreak9001 You're close but that's not why they entered level 9 Luigis They do that in doubles (2v2) tournaments when they don't want a doubles partner, and they choose Luigi because the way he recovers (side-b from off stage, etc.) takes longer than most other recoveries meaning he lives longer. Since it's doubles, the player on the Luigi's team can then use share-stock if he runs out of lives to leech the Luigi's stocks. In other words, you use Luigi in a 2v2 battle as a teammate not because he's good at fighting, but because he essentially gives you extra lives by taking a long time to die.

level one cpu's are the hardest. A level one mario was able to beat a level 5 yoshi one on one, a few level 9s, and us, though besides yoshi, the battles were free for all.

They may be the least prone to SDing, but they are not in any way hard. They barely attack and are even more limited in pattern and attack choices, you should never lose to them.

Omega Tyrant I'm nowhere close to the best player, as I've never beaten a cpu at a higher level than 6, but in the matches we had (it was a "tourney") I was so busy dealing with a level 8 that Mario was able to stand there and pick off the stragglers. In the end Mario was able to throw an explosive at the opponent. As for the Yoshi, it immediately SD'd with side B.

The reason the level one's have any possibility towards beating a level 9 is that,(which I can almost certainly confirm) all AI opponents are built towards reacting to movement and ability usage. A level one , little it does, confuses that actual fuck out of higher level AI because it does almost nothing, creating in turn, almost nothing for the higher level to react to ( this is also seen in OT's other video, Luigi wins against every level 9 AI by doing nothing) which also supports my theory in the sense that both Luigi and the level 1 do practically nothing,absolutely nothing in Luigi's case, to give the level 9 or above level 2 AI, something to react and kill them with. Now, in the case of you losing to a level 1, that's a little weird. I guess you play a bit like an AI?

Potato Fishable That's all bullshit, cpus fight the exact same regardless of what you do. It doesn't matter if you're just standing still or wavedashing and dash dancing all over the place throwing out attacks, cpus will constantly walk towards you, throwing a projectile out periodically, and then jabbing and grabbing when in close. Doing nothing doesn't "confuse" them, they're just fucking terrible and have absolutely no sense of terrain.
