It's a shame that the people behind Project M couldn't fix Luigi. He was always the most broken character--I mean, they nerfed Meta Knight, so why didn't they nerf Luigi? My guess is that when they replicated the Melee AI, they forgot to take the part out where they HAVE TO LOSE against him. This needs to be reported and fixed.

red5729j No, the AI in any Smash game doesn't play any differently just because you don't move. They do the same exact things they would do if you actively fought back while you stand still. In fact it would be a lot easier to make the AI SD by actively fighting than by doing nothing.

My thoughts are that the AI's are mostly unchanged but alterations to the game's physics mess up the AI algorithms causing the AI to screw up it's projections and jump too far, too short, ETC. because the commonality between these is the AI overshooting/undershooting jumps or attacks. In short they were not designed for this.

No, the PM AI was heavily modified with the heavily altered physics in mind, hence their ability to wavedash, L-Cancel, dash dance, and overall behave very differently from Brawl's AI.
