To me it is almost a mixture of tDR design with Radiohead inspiration; the text and font on the keys is peak "OK Computer"/"KID A" era.

For me the "fxxk art" design is distracting. North or south-facing LEDs? The lack of screws is not user friendly so should I even ask if the Kaehl switches are hot-swappable or soldered (they sound like browns? are there other options?)? In your brief typing test I couldn't hear any pinging or rattle from the larger keys - are the stabilizers lubed?

South facing I believe if what it says on their Kickstarter page and they are hotswapple. Browns aren't what I had AFAIK, I had the other type offered. Not sure about the status of the stabilizers. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@LaptopRetrospective With south-facing LEDs buyers will at least have an option to swap out those key caps with shine through caps. While hot swappable is good, using plastic clips instead of screws is really going to make any further modifications like adding foam or painters tape quite a bit difficult.

I think it has a small LED somewhere to indicate it. I so rarely use that key.

Hi Did you have a chance to try the Macro function? i have mine and when i try to record a macro that has @@@ or any capital letters basically anything with shift key. it does not work it will output for example you want to say P@P@ it will output p2p2 instead its like the shift key is not recognized

Hmmm interesting. I don't use macros so I'm not very experienced with setting them up, but when I did I used software and entered the key presses by hand. I haven't tried it with this specific board.

Kind of late to the party, but is there any information on the "plastic" variant switch they include with the board? Is it just a brown switch?

Design seems to be "influenced" by off-white brand. But in kinda wacky way. Transparent enclosed is... Quite interesting ngl. Also while price is ridiculous I suggest you to try, if possible, a topre board. Quite a different thing, comparing to mechanical switches

@@LaptopRetrospective I know, it's just the kb is half a scam as far as I see it.. It took 98 posts and 5 days to get a single response from them and it's a really bad one... All they say is "we won't refund and you won't get the kb if you won't pay 60$ shipping"... Freaking hostage situation they put the customers at...

This thing is so bad it's hard to believe it exists at all - I am just uploading a Thinkpad rendering video that compares identical OS and I/O systems that give exact times for rendering the same 30min 1080p video using Kdenlive on a range of Thinkpads from X61 up to X230 including the W500 and T410. You will perhaps be surprised at the Ancient Thinkpad Rendering King of the Hill :)
